Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Wheeler
Hi Emily, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started in the business in 2017. After purchasing my first home I became interested in real estate and shortly after I got my license. I dropped out of college and started to run my business full time, closing 15 transactions in my first 7 months. In 2019 I got the opportunity to lead the training and development for a real estate brokerage and in 2021 got promoted to Chief Operating Officer. I helped grow the company from 60+/- agents to over 500+/- in just 5 years and expanded to 9 states, all while still running my business. I recently decided that I wanted to solely focus on expanding my business so I stepped down from being COO and switched brokerages to shift 100% of focus back to helping serve my clients. To top all of that off, throughout my career I have also served as the President of the Women’s council of Realtors-Atlanta, the Chair of the young professional network for the state of Georgia and won the Young Profesional of the year in 2022 for the Georgia Association of Realtors.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a Realtor is anything but easy. You have good months and bad months. You have months with 5 projected closings, that’s turns into only one closed deal. You work all day long, you give 100% of your effort in everything that you do. You are a clients therapist, their punching bag, their contractor, interior designer and so much more! It takes grit, patience, passion and dedication to be a great Realtor. For anyone that says being an agent has been a smooth road, then they haven’t helped enough families yet. BUT no matter how difficult a transaction is, at the end of it I always find peace in knowing that I am helping people create wealth through buying or selling real estate.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Growing up in New Jersey, I loved living close to the shore and visiting the boardwalk. I also loved seeing my family, especially my little cousins for all of the holidays. My best memories are always surrounded by my family.
