Today we’d like to introduce you to Ephraim Woods.
Hi Ephraim, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started off designing and making iron on shirts for my friends and I to wear when we went out to parties. Once I went to college, my parents bought me a Yudu screen printer and I started screen printing shirts in my dorm room. Ever since then, I have continued along the path of building my brand.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has come with a few hiccups along the way. One of the issues was when I first started looking for an overseas clothing supplier. A page contacted me saying that they made custom clothes and without knowing to do extensive research on the people that reached out to me, I ended up getting scammed out of a couple of hundred dollars but I took it as a lesson learned.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Far From Rich Apparel is a clothing brand centered around the belief that “Rich” is truly just a perspective that varies from person to person. I’m most proud of how far my brand has come over the years. Being able to come up with new designs and continue elevating the brand as a whole is a major accomplishment for me because there were times when I thought about quitting.
What matters most to you? Why?
Family is the most important thing to me because growing up, I was always close to my family members.
