Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Davis.
Hi Erica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I actually fell into photography as a means to help pay for my accounting degree. I still work in both professions and also maintain a small business in the Atlanta area in both. My daughter, Savannah, was my first ‘client’. She was 2 years old when I bought my first camera. A good friend of mine helped me with camera and editing training. Fast forward to today, I have my Great Dane pup, Winston, to thank for that. Four years ago, when he was a puppy, he ate my camera to say the least – haha. I was slightly freaking out, but with some friends encouraging me, I invested in myself 10 fold. I bought a better camera and lens. It helped me gain confidence and so much more. I now have an in home studio, small photography venue, and I am looking to expand my business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t, but no business ever is, is it?
My biggest struggle has mostly been personal and time management because of having a family and working 2 jobs.

I am a photographer based out of Atlanta. I specialize in ALL things photography. I enjoy all aspects of photography as long as it is creative. I am known for creative set ups and going outside of the box. What sets me apart from others is that I am able to make everyone feel comfortable. This is probably the most common response I receive from clients is that they were so nervous before the photo session, but after it began, they were so comfortable and having a great time. I am most proud that I was able to build this on my own. I did not have help from family or financial backing. It was all my hard work and dedication. I would love to let readers know that I am available for their photography and memory documenting needs. My services include weddings, couples, family, newborn, babies, custom minis, and MORE!

Something surprising about me is that I also work as an accountant.
