Hidden Gems: Meet Erin Yabroudy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Yabroudy.

Hi Erin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in a small town outside of Athens, Georgia. I went to public school and then on to Vanderbilt University. I moved to Atlanta after graduation and was an elementary school teacher until I got married and moved to Charlotte, NC. My husband and I moved back to Atlanta in late 1998. I considered getting my real estate license at that time but decided to start a family instead. After having our third baby, I decided there was no time like the present, so I got my license and never looked back. I have been with several local brokerages and have found inspiration and success at each. I started my team after being in the business maybe 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy the camaraderie as well as the ability to help mentor other agents and help shape their careers. I am a mother and wife, dog lover (we currently have 3 labs!), avid cook and reader, community volunteer, and travel enthusiast. Real estate has certainly been a labor of love – it has been a wonderful career that I hope continues for years to come!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Real estate is rarely a smooth road. It is an incredibly fulfilling journey, but as with anything truly fulfilling, there are often obstacles and struggles. I have helped my clients navigate the financial crisis in the late 2000s, make it through a global pandemic, and continue to achieve the American dream of home ownership even with record low inventory and high-interest rates. I am with them through career and financial transitions – mostly good, but sometimes not so good; first jobs out of college and vacation homes in retirement; marriage and divorce; new and old pets; babies and aging parents; sickness and health. My core values are centered around service – I want to offer concierge-level service to each of my clients and the sense that I truly care about them – regardless of price point and whether it is their first or fiftieth home. I also want to create an enjoyable experience for my clients and my agent partners – a sense of fun and camaraderie can certainly smooth over the bumps in the road!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Specializing in Intown Atlanta residential real estate, I’m recognized for my exceptional marketing and seamless closings. My distinct work ethic emerged early in my career while residing in Ansley Park, where I’d burn the midnight oil compiling neighborhood statistics for hand-delivery to fellow residents. This dedication underscored my commitment to mastering the Atlanta market. I prioritize trust, offering my clients a reliable shoulder to lean on or a friendly ear to connect with throughout the home buying or selling process. Moreover, I’ve curated a team of 7 top-notch Atlanta agents, enabling us to provide hands-on support and expansive outreach across the city.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Beginning a career in real estate is truly fulfilling, particularly in our current market. I suggest aligning with a brokerage that prioritizes your growth, offering comprehensive training and readily available broker support. Marketing plays a pivotal role in this field, so partnering with a brokerage that offers extensive marketing expertise is essential. Persistence is key; establishing oneself in the Atlanta Real Estate market takes time. Many agents may falter in their initial years, but perseverance, community involvement, and relationship-building are paramount for success. Keep pushing forward, and success will follow. (And, of course, I am a believer in joining a team within your brokerage!)
