Hidden Gems: Meet Gerald Coker of Coker & Family Home Inspections

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerald Coker.

Gerald, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Coker & Family Home Inspections in September of 2019. I started in home inspections because I wanted to provide future homeowners with top of the line customer service when buying a home. Providing homeowners with thoroughness and quickness is my main priority.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Starting out was difficult when it came to marketing and gaining a good loyal team of realtors to provide me with stable business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business provides home inspections to buyers, sellers, and investors when attempting to purchase a home. You should know that I absolutely love what I do and that I also serve as a mentor to aspiring home inspectors. I also teach part-time at the Georgia Conference of Home Inspectors located in Marietta, Georgia. I am known for providing thorough home inspections with fast reports to be delivered the same day! What sets me apart from others is my compassion and love for my clients. My readers should know that if they choose me to inspect their homes, they will be receiving top of the line service. I also offer radon testing. I completed 410+ inspections within my first year of running my own business.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My most important quality or characteristic that is most important to my success is my marketing strategy and great customer service.
