Hi Gina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Like a lot of people, I tried a few different career paths before I found the one that truly fit. In a way, massage therapy chose me. One morning, I just woke up with this strong feeling—I needed to do something different, something more meaningful. I scheduled a tour at the Elaine Sterling Institute, and as soon as I walked in, I felt it in my body: this is it. That moment changed everything.
I graduated in 2019, and becoming a licensed massage therapist has been one of the best decisions of my life. I started my career at Massage Envy, which helped me build confidence in my hands and my skills. Later, I worked as an independent contractor at a locally owned spa, where I got to see the business side of things. That experience lit a fire in me—I knew I was ready to create something of my own.
That’s how Soulful Serenity Massage LLC was born. It’s more than just a business; it’s a space where people can feel cared for, seen, and supported. Every step of the journey has shaped me into the therapist and business owner I am today, and I’m just getting started.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road wasn’t easy—smooth? Not even close, ha. Like any dream, bringing it to life meant making sacrifices. But honestly, the biggest challenge wasn’t external. It was me.
When I started massage school, I had no idea how much inner work this path would require. It’s not just about learning techniques—it’s about showing up whole. There’s a deep level of responsibility that comes with the gift of touch. You have to be grounded in yourself, because holding space for others means first making space within.
And that’s been the most transformative part of this journey. Doing the work—on myself and for others

I offer mobile services and support for corporate events, bringing the experience directly to you. For those ready to take their wellness journey deeper, I’ve created thoughtfully designed packages that promote consistency, healing, and transformation—locally or even internationally.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Before I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, I was a fashion designer.
I loved deconstructing garments and transforming them—creating patterns was pure joy. That same curiosity and creativity now guides how I approach the body.
To me, anatomy is like a living, breathing pattern. I see the layers of fascia and muscle the way I once saw fabric—each with its own texture, function, and story. The body holds memories in its tissues, just like garments hold the shape of the people who wear them.
So when I work with a client, I bring that same enthusiasm I once brought to design. It’s a beautiful process—listening to the body, uncovering tension, and helping restore ease and balance, one thoughtful layer at a time
