We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been many challenges and obstacles for most small businesses having to navigate closures in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. At CrossFit JagLion we were thankful to have only been closed for about a month, during the mandatory shutdown. We immediately took action and scheduled online classes via zoom for our members, kept the same class schedule and lended equipment out. We ran, weekly challenges to keep our member engaged and motivated. Sadly we still had many members that had to either place their account on hold or cancel their membership as some of them lost their job during the pandemic. Once we returned back into the gym we implemented all of the new COVID-19 procedures to help and keep our members safe during their workout. Two months after reopening the gym we made the decision to move into a bigger location, we had a lot of members, family and friends that helped with the move and we can say it was the right decision to make amidst the pandemic.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about CrossFit JagLion?
Our members are the heart and soul of CrossFit JagLion. They are the ones who make the hard work, early mornings, late nights, stress, sweat and tears worth every minute. If they were different, we be different, and the long days and nights wouldn’t be as rewarding. Each member is important to us; everyone has their own story and place in the gym. Every member is missed when they are not there. The role of an owner and Athlete is one of many. From coach, role model, friend, mentor, psychologist and we love that about our job. We genuinely care for our members, and want the very best for ALL of them. We are very thankful for our CrossFit family, and we realize more than ever the importance what community really is.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Dealing with COVID-19 has not been easy, no one imagined that we would face the pandemic for this long but just as the pandemic has been challenging CrossFit is challenging, It builds strength, confidence and teaches courage so we quickly learn to adapt and take action.
