Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Azode.
Hi Jamie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After losing over 100 pounds on my own weight loss journey, I discovered a passion for fitness and a desire to help others achieve their health goals. I began my fitness career by becoming certified as a personal trainer and started working with clients to create personalized workout plans and offer nutritional guidance. It’s been a fulfilling journey to see my clients achieve their own weight loss and fitness goals, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with others.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There have been a few bumps along the way. I got my certification right before the pandemic and never worked in a big box gym, I solely had to rely on getting clients from word of mouth from those that saw my own transformation and wanted to work with me. I jumped into online coaching, doing various challenges at the height of the pandemic which helped me establish myself.
We’ve been impressed with JkaunoFIT, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
JkaunoFit is all about transformation. We are dedicated to transforming mindsets and physical limitations and creating healthy relationships around food.
Workouts and meal plans are provided but also a safe space to talk thru emotions to overcome emotional and stress eating or not eating. I encourage journaling to help my clients process their emotions so they aren’t resorting to food for comfort.
All of the workouts are created around the client’s goals and abilities. Clients start at their level and work to progress and get better over time. Meal plans are flexible. I don’t promote restrictive dieting but will encourage you to eat to your blood type if the client knows it. If a client is on medications related to heart disease or diabetes, I work with them to help them get off of it completely or lower their dosage.
What sets me apart is my own experience with weight loss. I can relate to their struggles and show them how to do it without feeling overwhelmed. I teach them to be self-sufficient so that by the time they finish with me they are living a healthy lifestyle.
I am most proud of my brand for just being able to transform lives one step at a time. When my clients tell me how much confidence they have gained or just how healthy they are now that’s what I strive for.
