Hi Jason, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My name is Jason Gandy, and I’m an online entrepreneur and course instructor. I started my first online business around 2015 when I made the decision to build my own brand and start dropshipping. I began importing products from overseas and selling them on online marketplaces such as Amazon and Shopify.
After building a successful dropshipping/private label business, I decided to teach others how to get started as well. This led me to build several online courses and a YouTube channel, where I currently teach various topics such as e-commerce and content creation.
I currently have over 25,000 students enrolled in my online courses and approximately 40,000 subscribers on YouTube. My goal is to simply continue growing and teach the latest e-commerce and content-creation strategies to people around the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success is seldom smooth. There are always obstacles, struggles, and setbacks that will test your determination. For me, there were several challenges along my journey that I had to overcome in order to move forward.
One of the biggest struggles that almost everyone will face is time. It takes a lot of time to build a business, and most people have daily activities and responsibilities that already fills most of their time.
With a job, family, friends, and other obligations, it can be hard to carve out a part of the day to focus on building your business. But with a little sacrifice (such as waking up an hour earlier), it is possible to develop a strategy and start devoting time and energy to your goals.
Another struggle I think most people have is the cost of building a business. When starting out, you are likely on a very tight budget. Some businesses definitely cost money to start, but there are other business models you can start with little to no startup costs.
If you’re on a tight budget, I recommend starting with a business that you can build with your time instead of your money. This can include things like affiliate marketing, print-on-demand, eBooks, content creation, etc. As you grow your business and increase your income, you can then expand into other areas that may require more funding.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
In order to be successful, I believe there are several qualities/characteristics that a person must possess. These qualities are necessary in order to push yourself through the process even when times are hard and become successful at whatever you’re doing. The following are a few qualities that I feel successful people either have or develop over time.
The first characteristic that you must have is ambition. Ambition is the fuel that will keep you moving when things get rough. Without ambition and drive, most people will give up at the very first sign of trouble (which is why many businesses fail). You have to stay motivated and remain ambitious at all times.
Next, I believe that in order to become successful, you have to be optimistic. If you don’t believe you will be successful, you won’t push yourself to accomplish your goals. Having an optimistic outlook will help you see the bright side of things, even when things look a little dark. Stay adaptable and remain positive despite any challenges that may arise.
And finally, you need to have a lot of patience to obtain success. It takes time to become successful, and you need patience so you don’t give up on your goals too soon. Patience and consistency are the key. As long as you continue working towards your goal and never give up, you’ll eventually make progress and achieve success.
