Hi Jeremy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Kagan Street was born from the idea that CRO is for everyone. Any person with any business could use real, actionable data to help their business grow. And the tools to do so shouldn’t be limited by the size or scope of that business.
Our unique backgrounds in Sales, Small business development, and Military Intelligence led us to the world of Conversion Optimization years ago. Knowing how to find and establish value for a client’s customers gives us an edge over a traditional marketing agency. We sharpened our skills at major agencies like those before finally striking out on our own. CRO is a journey, and we don’t want to limit our impact for our clients for any reason. With Kagan Street, we can operate how we need to, when we need to.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most entrepreneurs. When we started Kagan Street Optimization, the biggest challenge was simply awareness. Conversion Rate Optimization isn’t as flashy as social media marketing or paid ads, so a lot of people didn’t understand its value right away. We’ve had to educate clients while also building the business itself.
Those challenges forced clarity. They helped us refine how we communicate our value, improve our processes, and build long-term relationships with clients who understand the power of conversion optimization. In hindsight, every rough patch was a chance to become more focused and more resilient. Just like in CRO, there is no such thing as a failed experiment, only a lesson learned. We improve and we move forward.

Kagan Street Optimization is a Conversion Rate Optimization forward agency that helps businesses turn their existing website traffic into measurable growth. We focus on what happens after someone finds you and making sure that every click, scroll, and interaction works together to convert visitors into customers. It’s about connecting human behavior to business goals.
We specialize in analyzing user behavior, running data-driven experiments, and improving website design and messaging to boost performance. Our approach is equal parts analytical and creative, rooted in psychology, supported by data, and executed through smart design.
What sets us apart is that we don’t treat CRO as a side service or a marketing add on. It’s our core focus. Many agencies chase more traffic through ad spend or social media and that’s fine for volume traffic. We focus on helping businesses do more with the traffic they already have. Even if a business already has a traditional marketing team, we can increase the efficiency of that teams output. That perspective helps clients grow efficiently and sustainably.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia, and moved to Atlanta when I was seventeen to attend Georgia State University. I’ve always been curious and hands on. I loved music, cars, and anything that combined creativity with structure. There was something about understanding how things worked, whether it was the rhythm of a song or the mechanics of an engine, that really stuck with me.
Randy, my partner, grew up in Sylvania, Georgia. He shares that same love of music, and he’s always been a deep thinker. Randy is someone who enjoys learning, reading, and exploring new ideas. He joined the United States Air Force after high school, which gave him a strong sense of discipline and perspective that balances my more experimental, entrepreneurial side.
Together, we’ve built a partnership that blends curiosity and structure, creativity and focus. Those early interests in music, learning, design, and improvement still shape how we approach our work and life today. It’s about finding rhythm and meaning in the details, whether in a song, a system, or a business.
