Hidden Gems: Meet Jital Pancholi of Oncore Physical Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jital Pancholi

Hi Jital, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely! My journey into healthcare has always been fueled by a desire to make a difference, but I wanted to focus on an area often overlooked—pelvic health. As a physical therapist, I saw firsthand how issues related to the pelvic floor impact countless lives. These concerns are common, yet they’re often buried under feelings of shame or fear, even though they profoundly affect one’s quality of life. My goal was to create a safe space where patients feel heard, supported, and, most importantly, can find meaningful, sustainable relief.

Starting Oncore Physical Therapy was a decision rooted in my desire to offer more than temporary solutions. I wanted to be part of a healthcare model that truly transforms lives by addressing the root causes of pain and dysfunction, rather than just treating symptoms. For me, this journey isn’t about providing short-term fixes; it’s about equipping patients with the tools and treatments they need to live fully—free from the limitations that once held them back.

What I do isn’t just work; it’s a form of worship. Supporting people as they overcome challenges that impact them physically, mentally, socially, and even spiritually is deeply fulfilling. At Oncore, we take a holistic, patient-centered approach, focusing on long-term healing that empowers patients far beyond their sessions with us. Seeing someone regain their confidence and independence—no longer needing therapy because they’re truly healed—brings me immense joy and drives me every day.

This commitment to comprehensive care, to uncovering and addressing the root of each patient’s issue, is what Oncore Physical Therapy is all about. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives and to be a part of their journey to lifelong health.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting and running a pelvic floor therapy practice like Oncore Physical Therapy has certainly been a fulfilling journey, but it hasn’t always been a smooth one. Building a practice around pelvic health—a field that’s not only niche but also requires a lot of patient education and advocacy—comes with its own unique set of challenges. From the start, there were moments of self-doubt and obstacles that tested my resolve, but each hurdle became an opportunity to grow and reinforce why I began this journey in the first place.

One of the first struggles was the stigma surrounding pelvic health. Pelvic floor issues affect countless individuals, but there’s often a strong sense of discomfort or even shame in discussing them. Many people, regardless of age or gender, don’t realize that these challenges are common, treatable, and deserving of attention. Educating patients about the importance of pelvic health and helping them feel safe and understood took time. Initially, I had to work hard to build awareness about how life-changing pelvic floor therapy can be. A lot of my efforts involved community outreach, public talks, and partnering with other healthcare providers to spread the word. Breaking down these barriers was crucial to building trust and normalizing these conversations.

Financially, starting a specialized practice posed its own set of challenges. Like many small business owners, I faced the complexities of managing overhead costs, sourcing the right equipment, and investing in a supportive team—while staying true to my vision of offering accessible, comprehensive care. As a business that relies on a personal connection and long-term results rather than quick turnover, it was initially daunting to find a sustainable way to make it all work. Every decision, from hiring staff who shared my holistic philosophy to balancing finances with patient care, required careful planning and sometimes tough choices.

There was also the emotional toll of being in such an intimate, often vulnerable area of healthcare. Pelvic health can be highly personal, and working with patients who’ve experienced trauma, chronic pain, or years of suffering requires a deep well of empathy and resilience. I’ve always wanted to offer not just physical relief but a safe space where patients can feel whole again. This meant that I, too, had to do my own emotional work, ensuring I could hold space for their journeys without burning out. Cultivating a sense of balance—between giving wholeheartedly and preserving my own well-being—has been a significant, ongoing part of the journey.

Another challenge was navigating the healthcare landscape as a small, patient-centered practice. Many healthcare systems prioritize high-volume, quick-turnaround treatments, and it can be hard for patients to understand that our approach is different. We focus on finding the root cause of their issues and providing long-term, often life-changing solutions. But building a practice on these principles meant educating both patients and other healthcare providers about the value of a holistic approach, which isn’t as common in the field.

Through it all, these struggles have been invaluable learning experiences. Each hurdle made me a stronger therapist and a more resilient business owner. These challenges pushed me to refine my vision and to double down on creating a supportive, healing-centered practice. Running Oncore Physical Therapy has become about so much more than treating pelvic health issues; it’s about reshaping how patients think about healing, empowering them to take control of their own recovery, and building a community that’s open, supportive, and informed.

Today, every success story, every patient who walks out of our clinic feeling stronger and more confident, makes all the hard work worth it. I’m grateful for the journey—the smooth parts and the bumpy ones—because they’ve all played a role in shaping Oncore into the thriving, compassionate practice it is today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m Dr. P, a pelvic floor physical therapist and the founder of Oncore Physical Therapy, a practice dedicated to pelvic health for both adults and children. At Oncore, we provide holistic, comprehensive care for men, women, and kids facing challenges related to pain, bladder, bowel, and sexual health. Our patients range from as young as 4 to as experienced as 90, and we’re especially passionate about supporting women throughout pregnancy, the conception journey, and postpartum. These times bring unique changes to the body, and untreated pelvic health issues can impact both immediate well-being and long-term health. We also work with athletes who are limited by inadequate pelvic control, as well as individuals dealing with acute and chronic pain in the back, pelvis, or hips.

What truly sets us apart is our commitment to addressing the root cause of our patients’ issues, rather than just managing symptoms. By taking this deeper approach, we can provide our patients with long-lasting solutions. When physical issues are resolved at their core, it brings a ripple effect, enhancing mental, emotional, social, and even spiritual well-being. One of my proudest achievements is that many of our patients experience lasting relief; they get better, and they stay better without needing to seek ongoing treatment.

Owning my own practice has been an incredible journey—and honestly, it wasn’t part of my original plan. I’ve always been grounded in my family, my children, and my passion for my work. But as I gained more experience, I began to see the limitations of traditional treatment models. I wanted the freedom to treat patients holistically, to see them as whole people rather than just symptoms. That’s when I realized that the only way to provide the kind of care I envisioned was to start my own practice. Owning Oncore also gave me the flexibility to balance my responsibilities as a mother with my professional goals, allowing me to thrive in both roles.

Starting this practice has truly been a labor of love, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my husband and the incredible team I’m honored to work alongside. I’m also deeply grateful to our community and patients who trust us with their care. Of course, there have been challenges along the way. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to stay grounded and remember why I started. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind, but staying connected to your purpose—the reason behind your work—is what keeps you moving forward. Another key lesson is that learning never stops. Each day brings new insights, and I’ve come to embrace every opportunity for growth.

A significant part of my journey is deeply personal. After the birth of my child, I faced trauma that led me to pelvic floor therapy. This experience was life-changing, helping me heal both physically and emotionally. It taught me to see from the patient’s perspective and deepened my gratitude for this field. Now, I’m committed to bringing that same healing and relief to others, knowing firsthand how transformative this care can be.

At Oncore Physical Therapy, we’re committed to providing lasting relief through a unique, evidence-based approach that integrates both orthopedic and pelvic therapy. Whether you’re facing pelvic health concerns or have unexplained symptoms that may be rooted in the pelvic floor, we’re here to help you achieve true, long-term wellness.
