Hidden Gems: Meet John Beverly of Beverly Financial Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Beverly.

John, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from Mobile, AL. I graduated from Gardner-Webb University (NC) with a BS in Business Management, and I have a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of West Alabama. I began my career in Sports Marketing, working as an account manager for Brand Connections, which was a very small marketing firm located in Charlotte, NC. There, I learned the importance of networking, marketing and communication as we (Brand Connections) focused on brand management and building the brand inside the NASCAR umbrella.

While I enjoyed the fast-paced atmosphere, travel, and the people that I worked with, I had a passion for teaching and coaching high school football. After being with Brand Connections for a few years, I left the company and moved back to Alabama, where I began to teach physical education and coach varsity football. After being an education professional and football coach for the next eight years, my family and I decided to transition to Atlanta, GA.

Moving to Atlanta was definitely a scary transition. By this time, I left the education field to embark on the fitness industry, which was thriving in the city of Atlanta. I began working for X3 Sports, which was a huge mix martial arts gym that focused on helping clients reach their fitness goals while training in a boot camp style, mix martial arts environment. The gym was awesome, and we help a plethora of people get into the best shape of their lives, but then came covid, and that’s when the industry took a turn for the worst.

After being furloughed and out of work due to covid-19, I was stuck with trying to figure out if the fitness industry would come back. While being at home, like the rest of the world, I begin to look for work that was considered essential and of need. After searching for opportunities, my wife, Nikki had been watching videos about MJ Harris and the life insurance industry. Listening to MJ explain how the industry was increasing its revenue during the covid outbreak, I was intrigued. I began to further indoctrinated myself and researched the industry daily to figure out what was needed to become a licensed agent. I finally remember hearing that the life insurance (financial services) industry produces the most millionaires and that the industry is recession, as well as pandemic proof. After hearing those words, my wife and I dove in headfirst and began our journey into the financial services (life insurance) industry.

After passing our life insurance state exam, we created our LLC, Beverly Financial Solutions and being to help as many people within our power. We are now a fully-functioning financial services company that handles everything from life insurance to retirement accounts. We are located in the city of College Park, but we have clients all throughout the United States. The pandemic was definitely a time for reflection, and I’m so thankful that it showed my family and I the way to financial prosperity and freedom.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I have been through ups and downs due to decisions and setbacks, but I made it. Leaving the education field was as scary as it could possibly be, but that is nothing as compared to having to trust and rely on yourself to make sure your family is taken care of. The life insurance is a full commission job that is based around your production. I’m glad I believed in myself and was willing to bet the bank that I could make this happen. It was surely a struggle at first but is paying off 100 fold at this time.

Beverly Financial Solutions is a fully functional financial services company that provides life and health insurance, financial planning, medicare and retirement setup. We are totally focused on making sure that our client’s legacy is our priority and we accomplish that by providing the proper financial services and counseling that is needed.

You should know that we licensed in the following states: GA, AL, LA, SC, NC, VA, MD, PA, OH, MI, TN, TX, and WA, meaning that we can conduct business and write policies and retirement within those states. We have the capability to do business over the phone, via zoom, and, or in person.

Our specialty is life insurance (Term, Whole, and Permanent). We focus on educating our clients on products while configuring an analysis of services that gives them the most optimal amount of coverage that fits within their budget.

What sets us apart from others is the fact that we deal with multiple carriers (insurance companies), which gives us the ability to shop for the best coverage for the best price. We are a brokerage for the insurance industry, which connects us with A+ carriers with great names and financial backings. I personally handle all of our accounts, therefore the client is able to reach me directly, not some call center.

I am most proud that the Beverly Financial Services brand has been able to reach people outside of my territory and that we are backed by an Internet Marketing Organization known as The Alliance. This partnership has allowed me to further grow my business and cultivate relationships to help me bridge the gap in helping families create financial wealth within their circle.

I want readers to know that everyone walking the face of this earth needs and should have some form of life insurance. I also want readers to understand that life insurance is not just your family getting money after you pass, but life insurance can be used as a leverage tool help create business ventures for themselves. Walt Disney started his company by borrowing funds from his life insurance policy and there’s no reason why people can’t do the same in order to start their own business venture or company. The life insurance industry is far beyond what most people think, they just have to tap into the industry, research, and, or find a person with the knowledge to help them understand and maneuver within this realm.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
The financial services industry has a solid foundation which can be navigated in general. As far as finding a mentor, you can YouTube the industry and see who is moving and shaking, as well as how to get in contact with these people. My advice to someone who wants to get into the industry is to get with a network marketing group, such as The Alliance, and have start to build a personal relationship with your upline. I was blessed that I was able to connect with my mentor, Andy Riddle, who has taken me under his wing, gave me the game and has shown me how to replicate what he has done. I am open to being a mentor as well. I will help with whatever is needed from me. I love to pass down information and help those produce for themselves while building generational wealth for their families.

What has worked well for me is being coaching able, following the process and helping others to do the same exact thing that I have done.
