Hi Johnny, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was approached by a mentor of a business opportunity in 2005. I was provided information on saving money by joining a travel club. The club included credentials to be a travel agent, and I was hooked. I have a professional background in Information Technology, and I have a true love for customer service, planning, and logistics. Using my skills to plan vacations was a no-brainer!
I am celebrating 20 years as a travel advisor as well as working 30 years in IT. I am passionate about both careers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first it was a challenge to build a loyal client base, and show the value of what Lumpkin Travel can bring to your vacation planning. When the pandemic hit in 2020, all travel stopped for about 2 years. No travel means no income. Once it was safe to travel, business began to thrive almost immediately.
