Hidden Gems: Meet Jordan Telfare of The LabelGod Style Service

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Telfare.

Hi Jordan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well, I have always had a love for fashion. My passion always has been in adverts styling and fashion campaigns. I have always enjoyed collecting magazines and obsessing over in-store ads in department stores. Hip-hop videos also fueled my interest in fashion. I enjoyed watching shows like Making The Video and Behind the sense segments on DVDs.

While researching careers, styling spoke to all my interests. As a result, I began styling emerging designer fashion shows and emerging photographer’s test shoots. While building my portfolio, I started to see opportunities in myself to learn more about the business side of fashion; freelancing all my life is not the move! So I enrolled at the Art Institute of Atlanta as a Fashion Marketing and Management student. I also made it a point to travel more for networking opportunities. Extending my view outside my bubble and personal interests helps confirm I’m on the right path.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
On the contrary, this road is quite complex and ever-changing. I’ve been caught off guard by competition from those who were supposed to help me. Balancing my finances and personal goals is a challenge. However, I am learning the importance of separating my personal and business finances. In addition, as video-based content becomes popular, staying creative is a challenge.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The LabelGod Style Service?
The LabelGod Style Service (LGSS) is a boutique fashion marketing firm. We are known for our editorial styling, concept development, and execution skills. In addition, we offer styling, shopping, and consulting services for consumers looking to brand their look or change their style. We just rolled out many personal styling services and provide free consultation on shopping, packing, and closet organization. We also offer creative strategy services for fashion brands of all scales, including trend forecasting, e-commerce, and event planning. I’m proud of the relationship I have built with creatives of color in NYC and Atlanta that is present in LGSS cycle one portfolio.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
This has to be the perfect time to answer this question. I entered my 30s over the pandemic, so I had time to reflect. I was headstrong sometimes to a fault. I enjoyed music as much as I enjoyed fashion. Growing up, I was silly and a lover of life. I didn’t play sports, but you could find me in front of a TV locked in on BET, the Disney channel, or comedy central. My favorite brands growing up were urban brands like Sean John, G-Unit, Eyence, and Avierx. Faith in Jesus Christ is a vital part of my upbringing and is still a part of my life to this day.
