Hidden Gems: Meet Justin Malone of Justin Malone, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Malone.

Hi Justin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee in a single-parent household. Growing up without a clear blueprint taught me how to be resourceful, ambitious, and self-directed. What shaped me most was media. It was one of the first places I saw what was possible. Purpose-driven careers. Real influence. Stories that made people feel seen and helped them imagine a bigger life.

That love for media, paired with a deep curiosity about technology, led me to study business at the University of Pennsylvania and build a career at the intersection of marketing, storytelling, and platforms. Over time, I realized the work I’m most passionate about is not just marketing. It is narrative. It is understanding how stories move people, how culture is shaped, and how individuals can use storytelling to create opportunities and impact.

Today, my mission is simple. To push the culture forward through media and storytelling.

I create content rooted in culture, identity, faith, mental health, and modern work. I blend sharp cultural insight with practical lessons on personal branding and entrepreneurship, because I believe people do not need to fit into a box to build something meaningful. Whether through consulting, speaking, brand partnerships, or original media, my goal is to help people own their story and use it to build a life and legacy that is aligned.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth road? Not at all.

On the outside, things may look phenomenal. First in my family to graduate from college. Went to the best business school in the world. Work in tech.

On the inside, I’ve been through my fair share of struggles and trials. I fell into the American Dream propaganda. It led me to follow society’s rules instead of God’s vision for me. I’ve prioritized jobs, people’s perceptions, and more over my own wants in life. This caused me to lose myself in 2024.

I was depressed, anxious, and felt alone. I took medical leave to get away from it all. This is exactly when my faith walk began. God did His big one with me. He took me from being isolated and feeling like a failure to a new creation in Him. Now, I’m stronger than ever. I regret none of it, as each one of my life experiences has propelled me into the man I am today.

I am a fighter. Follower of God. Digital storyteller. Entrepreneur.

My obstacles led me to my purpose.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Justin Malone, LLC?
Justin Malone, LLC is my personal brand and creator-led business built around one mission: pushing the culture forward through media and storytelling. I create content and original media that explores identity, purpose, mental health, and modern work, and I partner with brands and organizations that want to create meaningful impact through narrative.

My work lives across a few lanes. I publish cultural commentary and personal storytelling across platforms. I speak and facilitate conversations for companies, communities, and events on personal branding, storytelling, creator strategy, and building an aligned life and career. I also consult with select creators, founders, and teams who want to clarify their message, build trust, and grow through content, community, and smart distribution.

What sets me apart is how I approach personal branding. I don’t treat it like a set of hacks. To me, it’s identity and purpose paired with clear communication and consistency. My work is culturally fluent, strategy-backed, and grounded in real life.

I’m most proud when people feel seen through what I create. The community I’m building is for people who don’t fit in a box and are done shrinking to be understood. If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this: Justin Malone, LLC isn’t a typical consultancy or “creator brand.” It’s a story-driven business helping people and brands build trust, unlock opportunity, and push the culture forward in the process.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Zigging while most zag is the way I take risks. For me, that’s showing up as my authentic self no matter what.

My view on risk-taking is pretty straightforward: it’s risky to remain stagnant. I’d argue that staying the same is regression in the long-run.

With this mentality, I believe the most ROI-positive thing you can do is take risks. If you can’t shake the thought, simply try it. Either way, you’re going to get an L. That’s a lesson or legacy.

I’m all for going for it wholeheartedly.
