Today we’d like to introduce you to Kalita Conley.
Kalita, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was introduced to a film camera when I was 8 or 9, but my interest in photography took a backseat to other creative outlets and career goals. I never lost my love for creativity, marketing, and connection.
When entrepreneurs and busy executives figure out that high-quality photos are a necessity for their business or career, they begin their search for a qualified photographer. They dream of clean professional images that are beautiful and effective. However, it’s not uncommon for them to put off getting photographed for months or even years!
I help people stop putting their dreams on hold, and get the photos they need with gratifying, individualized, photography experiences that meet them where they are.
Years of making people feel confident in front of the camera, and them loving the results, have kept the passion alive. I certainly couldn’t have dreamed of the opportunities or clients I’ve been blessed to work with, but God is my CEO, so I’ll let him continue to drive the direction of my business.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, it truly has been a smooth road, except for the potholes like paralysis by analysis and comparison. There are so many very talented photographers and creatives in Atlanta. It’s easy to slow progress by constantly analyzing the next steps, offerings, or bids.
It took some time and reflection to realize that each one of us is unique, and that uniqueness is what makes us great. I truly believe that if I do everything I can do to be the best I can be, then God will pick up where I leave off. This, sprinkled with a whole lot of grace has opened doors (and even closed some) that I couldn’t do alone.

323 Creative Designs is a growing photography studio. The business has evolved from event photography to commercial and portrait photography. and now I have partnerships with videographers who often help me deliver impactful experiences. I specialize in personal brand photography, headshots, and corporate events.
I’ve been honored to capture Fortune 500 Brand Activations, 1200+ guest fundraising events, professional executive headshots of CEOs and Directors, celebrities, as well as personal brand stories of entrepreneurs and solopreneurs.
I pride myself in being a faith-led black woman-owned photography business, providing professional photos that exceed the expectations of my clients. I also offer family photography and social event photography services to individuals who need an upgraded experience in preserving personal important moments.
I’m constantly working to improve my craft and I enjoy mentoring and working with budding creatives considering a career in photography.
What’s next?
I am looking forward to the completion of my new digital home (my website). I am streamlining all of my processes to offer elevated experiences for all of my clients and potential clients.
I am also working on a feature page, to show off some of the AMAZING people that I am working with. There are a lot of tremendous efforts and hard work being put in by so many of my clients, and their successes should be shared with the world. I hope to provide a space for them to do just that.
