Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Salas.
Hi Kasey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have over 15 years of experience recruiting providers and executive leaders for nationally recognized healthcare organizations, I am an expert in leading teams, fostering relationships, and promoting empowerment. I hold a BA in Mass Communications from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership.
One year ago, I found myself incredibly burnt out both physically and mentally. I knew it was time for a change. I have always been passionate about empowering women and creating a lasting and positive impact. I decided to merge my professional experience with my passion and created the concept of EmpowHer Consulting. EmpowHer is a professional development company aimed at empowering women, equipping with them the tools needed to thrive professionally, and unlock their true potential. EmpowHer aims to create a space where all women feel heard, valued, and inspired.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a first-time business owner, there have definitely been challenges along the way. Thankfully, I had a supportive husband who assisted and continues to assist with the legal, regulatory, finances, and website development. Apart from that, the biggest challenge has been demonstrating the relevancy and true need of our services. People often get comfortable with their current situation and don’t feel they have what it takes to make a change or to better themselves…that’s where we come in!

At EmpowHer Consulting, our mission is to inspire and empower women to embrace their unique strengths, cultivate resilience, and unlock their full potential. Through supportive community, transformative programs, and personalized resources, we strive to foster confidence, ignite ambition, and champion the diverse paths that lead to success. We aim to create a space where every woman feels valued, heard, and equipped with the tools to thrive in all aspects of life, fostering a ripple effect of positive change in our communities and beyond.
EmpowHer offers career aptitude testing, resume development and enhancements, interview prep, leadership development courses, group class, and specialized talks and/or workshops for organizations. We also host monthly special events such as paint and sip nights, craft nights, and more!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have had numerous cheerleaders and advocates throughout my life and especially on this business journey! My parents have always supported my ideas and decisions and done everything in their power to help me succeed. My in-laws have provided support and encouragement at every step along the way. I have been blessed with an incredibly supportive group of friends who continue to show up to my special events, utilize my services to aid in their own career journey, offer comfort and encouragement on hard days, and are always there to celebrate the wins, no matter how big or small!
However, none, and I do mean none, of this would have ever become reality if it weren’t for my husband, Josh. I shared my dream and vision with him several years ago, never thinking it would actually come to fruition. I went on with my secure corporate job, unhappy and unfulfilled. In December of 2023, Josh encouraged me to finally take the biggest leap of faith in my professional life – he said it was time to turn my dream and passion of empowering women a reality! He is behind the scenes of everything EmpowHer does and has done and rarely gets the credit and acknowledgment he deserves. So, thank you, Josh. Your unwavering support keeps me going!
