Hidden Gems: Meet Kelli Fridge of Coach Kel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Fridge.

Hi Kelli, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
With over 20 years of coaching expertise, I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs create financial and marketing strategies to scale their business and create financial freedom. My advertising, communication and nonprofit management experience helps clients scale, build connections and stay profitable. I get great fulfillment in coaching, mentoring and sharing best practices with others. I have also found success in leading high-performing teams. I find ways to share knowledge with others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road with the odds against me. I grew up in a single-family household. I was the first one in my family to obtain a college degree and I went on to complete my Master’s in Public Administration with a certificate in Non-profit Management. As an entrepreneur I learned from trial and error and mistakes, which helped me evolve into the person I am today. I’ve also had some instrumental people in my life like my mom who did everything to make sure I had a great foundation spiritually, mentally and physically despite the odds against her. I’ve learned over the years that the keys to success include making a plan, learning from mistakes, pivoting when necessary, trying different strategies, collaboration is key and having a backup plan.

We’ve been impressed with Coach Kel, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Coach Kel leverages a wide range of industries specific to financial planners, entrepreneurs, marketers and families. Coach Kel generates opportunities wherever they may be.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Have a goal in mind for your favorable outcome when seeking out a mentor. Know what you are looking for before approaching a mentor. Find someone who is highly successful at what they do and someone who will keep you on track and accountable for achieving your goals. The best way to network is to identify the needs of others while sharing your goals.
