Hi Kendra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve have always loved being around people. Hosting, planning, and making events special is something that’s always come natural to me. That’s really how Dunagan Hills came to life. I wanted a place where others could celebrate and make memories, too. It’s been such a fun journey turning something I love into what we have today

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been smooth. Balancing family life while building the venue has been tough at times, and learning the business side was a whole new world for me. There have been long days, last-minute hiccups, and plenty of trial and error. But every challenge has pushed me to grow. Seeing couples and families celebrate here makes all of it so worth

Dunagan Hills Venue is a family-run wedding and event space where we focus on making celebrations effortless and unforgettable. We host weddings, quinceañeras, parties, and community events. What sets us apart is the mix of Southern charm with modern touches and the personal care we put into every event. I’m most proud that we’ve built a reputation for being welcoming, reliable, and truly invested in each celebration.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband deserves a huge amount of credit. I had the vision for Dunagan Hills Venue, but he’s the one who brought it to life. From designing the layout to building it piece by piece, he turned my idea into a reality. Beyond that, he’s been my biggest supporter through the long hours, big decisions, and challenges along the way. I truly couldn’t have done this without him.
