Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Moments by Marie was born from obedience, not ambition. What started as simply serving my church and capturing behind-the-scenes moments out of love quickly turned into purpose. I never set out to be a business owner, but as I remained faithful with what was in my hands, doors began to open that I couldn’t ignore.
Through consistently showing up, telling stories with intention, and serving with a genuine heart, Moments by Marie organically grew from ministry moments to working with athletes, creatives, brands, and organizations.
Today, Moments by Marie exists to do more than create content. We tell stories that connect, preserve moments that matter, and highlight the heart behind the scenes. This journey has been a reminder that when you walk in purpose and remain faithful, God will always expand the vision beyond what you imagined.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the beginning, the journey actually felt smooth. Doors were opening so effortlessly that I knew it was nobody but God. Opportunities, connections, and alignment came together in ways I couldn’t force, and it was a clear confirmation that I was walking in purpose on purpose.
As the vision expanded, the journey became more demanding. I found myself balancing what often felt like four jobs at once. My full-time 9–5, my part-time role with the Atlanta Dream, serving as the BTS and social media director for my church, and now stewarding my own clients and projects through Moments by Marie. Each role required excellence, presence, and intentionality, and learning how to manage all of them without losing myself was a real challenge.
There were seasons of exhaustion, moments of being stretched thin, and times where I had to learn boundaries, time management, and trust in a deeper way. Balancing purpose, provision, and passion wasn’t easy, but it refined me. The pressure didn’t break the vision. It sharpened it and taught me how to move with discipline, clarity, and faith as I continue to fulfill my purpose.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that purpose requires patience and obedience. Just because doors open doesn’t mean you’re meant to walk through every one of them immediately. I’ve learned the importance of discerning when to move, how to move, and who to move with.
