Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Green
Hi Laura, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Sure! I grew up in a very business-minded family—my mom was a Fortune 500 executive, and my dad was a self-proclaimed chronic entrepreneur. We used to joke that our family ran like a business—standing meetings, family charts, and me, the kid who collected business cards for fun. It felt like one of us was always starting something.
Determined to pave my own path, I studied Spanish at a liberal arts college and went into education. But somewhere along the way, I accidentally found myself in a business development role. To my surprise, I saw quick wins and really enjoyed the work. I managed new market launches, scaled in others, and led incredible teams. From there, I worked in strategic growth roles across various industries, and I started noticing the same themes and tensions—especially in founder-led businesses.
Probably because of my upbringing, I have a deep appreciation for founders. I understand how precious a vision is to them, and I’ve seen what it looks like when that vision thrives—and when it struggles. I started this work because I believe the world needs these visionaries to succeed, and I want to help them move forward with clarity and alignment. Now, after supporting over 150 organizations, I’ve developed my “More Impact. Less Friction.” framework, a powerful system that helps founders simplify strategy, gain clarity, and grow a business they actually love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would not call it smooth—ha! Like so many founders, I didn’t have the whole picture before I started. It took shape as I built it, not before. I went through a lot of experimenting and iterating. That’s why I love the “More Impact. Less Friction.” framework—it helps cut through that ambiguity faster.
One of my biggest struggles was taking on poor-fit projects. I often said yes to projects I knew that I could do, only to realize later that they were draining or misaligned. If we’re going to fill our schedules with work we dread, we might as well be working for someone else, right? Learning to recognize these was a game-changer that helped me craft something that’s truly aligned.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At its core, Impact Vector is about giving creative leaders practical insights and systems so they can focus on the work they love and see real, measurable results.
The “More Impact. Less Friction.” framework is the foundation of everything I do. It helps founders build businesses that are both sustainable and authentic to them. My approach is unique because I start with the founder’s vision in a way that’s deeply personal—then I balance that with real data and proven systems. I’m not interested in growth for the sake of growth or arbitrary success metrics. Instead, I use research, numbers, and tested strategies to bring structure and clarity to something that can otherwise feel ambiguous.
When I work with clients, we always start with Clarity Workshops, where we apply the framework to their business to identify points of alignment and friction. From there, I either provide coaching to support them as they navigate growth, or we dive into strategy sprints, where I roll up my sleeves and work alongside them to implement solutions.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
There’s a lot happening. The COVID-19 pandemic and the “Great Resignation” accelerated the shift toward entrepreneurship, and I don’t think that momentum is slowing down. More professionals are leaving traditional jobs to build their own businesses. I expect we’ll continue to see business communities forming where entrepreneurs primarily work with and support each other. This could put pressure on traditional agencies that employ creative thinkers.
And of course, AI is reshaping the landscape in huge ways. Simply being able to answer a question or execute a task won’t be enough—what will matter more is knowing which questions to ask and how to frame the problem. That’s why I believe the role of strategists and thought leaders will only become more valuable.
