Hi Lawrence, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Lawrence Taylor, better known as DJ MIX MASTER T was born in Montezuma, GA and raised in the small town of Unadilla, GA. Been performing since I was teenager and work my first turntable at sixteen years old. From there, I started to teach myself how to DJ, learning everything from blending music to scratching records. Quickly found out that I was most at home when I was performing, whether for an event or nightclub or simply jamming with family and friends.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Had to learn in life nothing comes easy, hardest thing to do is getting people to believe in you. I can remember getting into the djing business as young teenager, never having money to purchase the equipment. At 16 years old, I started on mix match turntable and speakers, but I never stop dream on what I wanted to become.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Everyone should have someone who’s not a yes person, have someone who going to tell you the good and the bad. Put good people in your circle that want to see you grow to the next level. Trust is everything to me and able to have people you can give solid advise.
