Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Heisman

Lee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began my career as a licensed physical therapist in Philadelphia before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, where I founded a commercial printing company called H and W Printing. Through hard work and dedication, I successfully grew the business and eventually sold it, and started my technology company, Savant. At Savant, I had the privilege of expanding the company to 100 employees and ultimately sold the business four years ago.

For the past four years, I’ve been focusing on mergers and acquisitions, assisting entrepreneurs across the country in achieving their goals of selling their businesses. I work closely with private equity firms and family offices to help these business owners transition their life’s work to the next chapter.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have certainly been many struggles along the way, too numerous to list. But I’ve come to realize that each challenge is simply another lesson to be learned. Every time I overcome a struggle, I become a better version of myself. So, if you ever find yourself gliding through life without facing any struggles, it might be time to self-reflect on your personal growth.

All the adversities in life gradually soften your rigid edges, shaping you into a more well-rounded, resilient person.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are former business owners who have personally sold our own businesses and gone through the exit process ourselves. We truly understand what other business owners face when selling their companies. We guide our clients from start to finish, helping them through the entire process, from the moment they engage with us to the final transaction when their business is successfully sold to a buyer.

What sets us apart is our own experience as business owners. We’ve spent decades navigating these challenges ourselves before we began helping others with their business exits. Additionally, we have a network of over 750 private equity relationships across the country, allowing us to pre-qualify buyers for our clients and ensure a smooth, reliable process.

We are particularly proud of our ability to maintain positive, productive relationships with all of our private equity firms, even if they aren’t the final buyer for our clients. If you can maintain good relationships with people you have to say no to on a consistent basis, it shows a lot of character.

Our focus is on clients with businesses that have an EBITDA of over $2 million, and we do not specialize in any one industry, allowing us to work with a wide variety of clients.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is of my mother and father working part-time and summer jobs to provide additional income for our family. They were always willing to do whatever was necessary to ensure we had what we needed, and their work ethic has left a lasting impact on me.
