Hi Marcela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mocora Tour began many years ago as an idea in Ecuador (the country where I was born) and nowadays is a reality in United State Charlotte.
Why Mocora? Mocora is a palm that grows on the coast of Ecuador, specifically in Manabí, its high quality is used for weaving a lot of products, it was the inspiration for “Mocora Tour” our objective is to weave cultures, countries, languages, and friendship through the passion for traveling and building experiences.
Mocora is a new company with a lot to contribute, wanting to position itself in the USA and in each person who is part of the adventure.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The fear of starting a project in a new country with a different culture is not easy because I start alone and this idea is new too maybe in the road I have a different situation but is normal in this business world.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Mocora Tour is a business whose objective is to weave cultures, countries, and friendships through the passion for traveling, Mocora Tour is an experience. We are a travel and entertainment business, our main service is “friendly planner” in which everyone can hire a local friend for a plan or we create the schedule based on what the client wants to do.
Hire a friend to show you around a new city, teach you a new skill/hobby, take you pictures, or just someone to keep you company. On Mocora Tour we appreciate and understand the struggles of traveling or trying to do something without support, that is what we offer. Everything is easier with good company.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Our five-year vision is to be a company positioned in our sector (tourism & entertainment), innovating and always contributing to our community. We want to be pioneers in Charlotte with our Friendly Planner service, showing a new way to spend time or learn a new hobby.
