Hi Marqies, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am from the Southside of Atlanta, College Park, GA to be veracious. I have three brothers and three beautiful sisters who taught me love, patience & passion.
Growing up a competitive athlete educated me on the principles of failure & laziness but also learned the value in working hard and building your teammates up.
My mother showed me Love, my father showed how to remain focused, my grandmother showed me fondness, my aunts listened to me & my uncles showed me the hustle.
I was able to attain knowledge from everyone who had a hand in molding this gracious young man today.
FLY Vending, LLC is an extension of the core values I’ve learned growing through life. It stems from wanting to generate passive income & generational wealth for families across the nation!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Like anything worth having, there have been challenges along the way. Most obstacles comes with the pains of a growing business.
Learning my clientele was a really important for me.
There will be customers/consumers/clients who will try to downplay your hard work and the knowledge you’ve amassed – know your worth!
Building a team of like-minded individuals was very important. Having a sufficient team around you helps to alleviate a lot of stress and prevent issues within the company.
These individuals are a huge reason for the success of FLY Vending, LLC:
Lanay Laster (Business Manager) – Helps keep all clerical work & contracts scheduled accordingly; while also taking good care of all of our clients.
Lanay keeps me level-headed in times where I feel I’m not doing enough or if I feel I’m doing too much. She has a way to make light of heavy situations; that’s important to have while growing your business.
Jaquay Laster (Account Manager) – JaQuay handles our location files from Atlanta to St.Louis to New York to California. JaQuay is responsible for attaining properties for our clients across the nation. She has been such a great addition to the team – she has a way of making her workload seem like a breeze. JaQuay helps me stick to my core values and never sway or budge.
Garland Smith (Media Marketing Director) – Garland films and edits the content so we are able to be found online at a successful rate. Garland is able to create promotional ads that’ll attract anyone – no matter your age, race or gender. Garland shows you FLY Vending, LLC is for everyone!!
Being a leader, you have to learn to listen, motivate, and congratulate – your team will flourish.
Do not avoid making mistakes. Every obstacle is an opportunity to leave & grow. Stay level-headed, remain focus. I have learned to pivot and go with the idea that’s works.

I love fashion. I love finding unique pieces.
I wanted to be an underwear model in my past life.
I like to read entrepreneurial books or James Patterson’s novels.
I believe health is wealth. I’ve been eating cleaner and going to the gym more often. I like to stay active so I might run a hoop session on Sunday’s or play flag football to stay in shape and escape reality.
It’s very important to have a hobby outside of your everyday life.
