

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Pineda.
Melinda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In March 2020, I resigned my Pre-K teacher position and decided to stay home with my children who deal with Asthma as COVID was at its peak.
I began intrigued with cake decorating but quickly realized that was not for me. I then began dabbling in cookie decorating and fell in love!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I began recipe testing for my sugar cookies and icing.
My first set of cookies were a disaster. They were a mess! I kept reading articles and watching videos on icing consistency. Through lots of practice, my decorating skills began to improve.
We bought a house and moved to a small town, which I adore but I knew no one. I began doing holiday pre-sales and marketed through Facebook groups I was a part of, and it grew from there!

I specialize in custom sugar cookies for all occasions that are decorated with royal icing. I also offer jumbo cookies and cookie cakes as well as cookie decorating classes.
