Hi Meriah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Unique Sistarz was simply a small family business I planned to pass on to my daughters as their legacy and foundation to fall back on, long story short it was a way for me to show them responsibility from a young and give them the encouragement needed through life to know they can do anything they put their minds to just put one foot forth and fight through the storms. I got where I am today with the business simply by staying determined and not giving up; no matter how many doors closed behind me I was blessed with several more in front of me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road but anything worth having is never to easy I expected the difficulties along the way, I would have to say a struggle dealt with was support feeling the closes people to me would be around helping and encouraging but it more so turnt into envy and bad talk so just overcoming that stepping outside the box no longer looking for the one’s closes to me to support or help push the brand.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Started off selling custom clothes, household items, mink lashes, holiday baskets, sea moss, etc to now expanding into the travel world booking trips, planning honeymoons, event planning and decorating. We also make home remedies for the immune system. I’m also active in the media and music industry so I often work with upcoming artists far as booking shows, helping with video setup, etc What I need the readers to understand about my brand is we are one-stop shop for several different needs you can come build you immune system grab a smoothie have happy hour get your hair done or even let us make your vision come true with an event I will break generational curses for my children and build generational wealth.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Lessons learned due to covid-19 I would have to say always have a back up don’t just depend on one source of income to rely on.
