Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started this journey when I came to the United States from the Netherlands on a full ride as a Division I student-athlete. While attending college, it became clear that I wanted to work for myself, and the journey of growing a high-performing social media agency began.
Fast forward to today, after an incredible number of ups and downs, I have grown a multi 6-figure agency powered by my dream team. As a determined student-athlete, I took everything I learned to build something unique that stands out from the crowd. We now pay it forward with our recent launch of the Inner Circle, an exclusive community for social media professionals who are on the same journey I was.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge starting out is the same challenge we now help social media professionals through mentorship: landing your first few quality clients. Starting is always a struggle; building a name from scratch takes years of absolute dedication, determination, and systematic execution of strategy.
My industry, the social media industry, is relatively new. With the knowledge I have gained building this business, I am now shifting my focus to providing exceptional management for our clients and elevating our industry as a whole.
I have finally launched my passion project of group mentoring. Looking back, I desired to be a thought leader in this industry, and the Inner Circle puts me in a position of real impact and change.
The biggest lesson I have learned through the victories and setbacks is that you can’t do it alone if you have a huge dream. Surrounding myself with people that are geniuses in their realm has helped me launch projects I never thought possible.
