Hidden Gems: Meet Myron Gilmore of Lifestyle Credit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myron Gilmore.

Hi Myron, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up, I always had entrepreneurial aspirations. As a toddler, I used to carry around a briefcase with little items inside. As a kid, I would buy bags of candy to sell at school. When I became a teenager, I started my own lawn mowing business. I had a clientele of around ten homes and two businesses, one of them being my local Goodyear tire company. I always knew that I would become a businessman.

Three years ago, I was working as a truck driver for a freight company. It was a good-paying job, but I was not happy and desired more. While making deliveries, I would always listen to podcasts that discussed new opportunities to earn money. One of which was how to repair your credit. One day my manager needed me to stay late, and I couldn’t. I was always a hard worker and went above and beyond for any company I worked for, but that day it was impossible for me to work late. I had to pick my son up from daycare. I was late picking my son up numerous times before because my job always required me to stay later than required and I obliged. That day, I could not pick him up late again. My job gave me an ultimatum, stay and work overtime or be fired. Luckily, I had been planning my escape the week before. I contacted a friend and got the number of a credit repair guru. Not knowing if he would be willing to hire anyone else because he was already fully staffed, I took a chance and called him to introduce myself. After a great phone meeting, he said that he would be willing to teach me what he knew. I ended up working for him for about 7 months. I took what I learned from him about credit and started to build my own credit empire. Since working with him, I have worked with a few celebrities and high-profile clientele. My business has been growing and thriving ever since!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many bumps in the road. It started when I left my full-time job to pursue an entrepreneurial path that I was confident yet nervous about pursuing. There were many times when I didn’t know when my next client would come, so I struggled financially. I went from a stable 9-5 to the unknown of being an entrepreneur. Knowing my potential and that I had a good product to share with the world took a huge toll on me mentally. Credit repair has always had a bad reputation, so trying to prove to people that I have a reputable business and that they would get guaranteed results was a struggle. I have been called a scam, an imposter, or even fraud. I started small by contacting family members then it spread like wildfire because I started getting proven results, so eventually my work spoke for itself.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is the impact that you make on EARTH, the impact that you make in your community, and for your future generations. For me, it’s being able to give people a fresh start with their finances while educating clients on good financial habits! What most people can agree on is the fact that a lot of us were never really taught the importance of financial literacy. If I can educate every client, they can spread the knowledge and make a huge impact on their community.
