Today we’d like to introduce you to Paris Brooks.
Hi Paris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well at first, I started out in 2020 trying to find a niche to do because I knew I loved film and dressing nice. So, around aug-sept of 2020, I decided to start making stack jeans and it was cool for the moment but I knew that I had more I wanted to do besides just stack jeans because it was for the moment and trending at the time. As time progressed, I was talking to a close friend she guided me and helped me find my path with my brand and business then I eventually came up with “KoldflowApparel”. So, fast forward to June 2021 with the help of my stepdad, brother and close friend, I officially dropped my first batch of shirts and hats. I noticed it wasn’t getting many sells so, I doubted myself but once I was getting reposts from people that had more of a following than I did, I have seen how my business had grown. I noticed how trucker hats took my brand to the next level, so I kept dropping them until I received more feedback from my followers that they wanted more. So, after a while I slacked with my brand and stopped dropping because I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to drop and if it’ll get many sales. But, I learned that if I don’t drop, I failed as a business owner so around November 2022, I started back up with trucker hats and custom pieces. Now, I’m currently getting my brand back on track along with my photography.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Yes and no because, you lose more money than you make. Plus, everyone doesn’t support you the way they say they do so, it’s a struggle when you don’t have anyone to rely on at a certain point but you always have to keep pushing, remain humble, keep God first and wait your turn.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My 1st business is a clothing brand called “Koldflow” which stands for knowing your style and the way you carry yourself is cold, meaning you have a nice way of doing things or make this look good on you.
My 2nd business is “Invigorating Productions” which stands for being cool and being different from others with film.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never depend on anybody and always keep God first through your ups and downs.
