Today we’d like to introduce you to Quellyn Kennedy.
Quellyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story really started with my love for beauty, wellness, and self-expression — but not in the traditional sense. I wasn’t always surrounded by luxury or access, but I was always deeply connected to ritual. My first introduction to self-care came from my Aunt Saba — she loved skincare, movement, dance, and created these small moments of beauty that made life feel sacred.
That stayed with me.
I started in the beauty industry with my esthetics license and began working in a fast-paced wax salon. I was on my feet 10 hours a day, seeing 20 to 25 clients in a single shift. The work was intense — physically and mentally — but what inspired me and kept my spirit high was the incredible women I met every single day. Women from all walks of life, each with their own stories, their own glow, their own resilience. That connection fueled me.
Eventually, I knew I wanted to create something of my own — a space rooted in beauty, healing, and intention. That’s how my spa, Sulis Skincare & Spa, was born — an intimate boutique studio focused on holistic skincare and radiant self-care.
Now, I’m expanding that vision with House of Radiance — a private wellness society and lifestyle brand for women who glow differently. It’s a natural evolution of everything I’ve been building: luxury wellness experiences, curated events, and a membership that connects women to the best of beauty, wellness, and intentional living.
For me, wellness isn’t just what I do — it’s how I live. And I believe every woman deserves to feel radiant, supported, and wildly in love with her life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hell no — entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart.
You really have to have the faith of a mustard seed and a connection to something greater than yourself. For me, that’s God. There are so many moments where there’s zero external evidence that things will work out — and yet, you still have to move like they will.
But those moments? That’s where you grow. That’s where you really find out what you’re made of — and every time, I’ve been surprised by just how powerful, resilient, and capable I actually am.
You truly have to be a little crazy to walk this path — but the beautiful part is, it makes you stronger, sharper, and more self-aware than you ever imagined.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sulis Skincare & Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Sulis Skincare & Spa is my love letter to women who deserve to feel radiant, rested, and cared for.
We are an intimate boutique skincare studio specializing in holistic facials, luxury self-care experiences, and personalized skincare rituals. What sets Sulis apart is that we go beyond the surface — it’s not just about how your skin looks, but how you feel when you leave. Every service is curated to create a moment of pause, of reconnection, and of deep care.
I’m most proud of the experience I’ve created. My clients always say Sulis feels like a sanctuary — like they can finally exhale. It’s a space where beauty meets ritual, where skincare becomes sacred care.
Brand-wise, I want people to know that I’m passionate about creating intentional wellness experiences. Yes, I offer facials — but I’m really in the business of helping women feel seen, nurtured, and supported.
Through Sulis and my newest expansion, House of Radiance, I’m creating a full lifestyle experience for women who want to glow differently — who see wellness as a lifestyle, not just a luxury.
Whether you step into my spa for a facial or join one of my curated wellness events, the energy is the same — sacred, intentional, elevated.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to trust the process.
Everything doesn’t have to happen all at once, and I don’t have to reinvent the wheel to create something meaningful. There’s power in consistency, refinement, and showing up even when it’s not glamorous.
Sometimes the breakthrough comes after the hundredth repetition — not the first big idea. What matters most is that it’s aligned, intentional, and true to who you are.
