Today we’d like to introduce you to Racquel Germany.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my creative journey while in High School, but acting was the first art form that truly helped me discover my voice. Over the years, playing different characters, working on various sets, and studying the craft have taught me more about myself than I ever expected. Painting was something I discovered back in high school, and it’s always been a safe space for me to clear my mind. As a geometric abstraction painter, it takes a great deal of focus to create my line designs. It may look intimidating, but the process is incredibly freeing. Writing has become another space for me to process, reflect, and connect more deeply with others.
As I grew in my artistry as an actor, I found myself drawn to helping other actors access their emotional truth, which led me to become an acting coach. Guiding people through that kind of vulnerable work has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey.
Becoming a mom has transformed everything. It has revealed new layers that I never knew were there in the most beautiful way. My sense of purpose has deepened, my intuition sharpened, and motherhood reminded me what it means to create from a place of honesty, presence, and love.
Today, all of these parts of me, actor, painter, writer, coach, and mother, work together. They’re different expressions of the same mission: to explore what’s beneath the surface and to help others do the same.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve experienced many highs and lows as an artist. The biggest struggle that I’ve experienced was not believing in myself. Since having my son, I’ve learned that I have to believe in myself before I seek someone else to believe in me. This may sound cliché, but the most important thing is to not give up.
As you know, we’re big fans of Acting Beyond The Surface. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Acting Beyond The Surface is a space where artists learn to access their emotional truth, deepen their self-awareness, and build the kind of inner foundation that strengthens their work on and off the screen. I specialize in guiding actors through emotional work, script analysis, exploration of inner monologue, and embodied character development. What I’m best known for is helping actors unblock to increase emotional availability.
What sets Acting Beyond The Surface apart is the focus on who the actor is, not just the character they’re playing. I believe the most powerful performances come from artists who are grounded, emotionally available, and connected to themselves. So my approach is rooted in reflection, emotional understanding, and intentional practice.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community that’s formed around this work. Actors come in not just to learn how to act, but to better understand themselves, unlock stuck emotions, and grow both creatively and personally.
For readers who are curious about what we offer, Acting Beyond The Surface includes private coaching, a six-week intensive that blends emotional development with technical skills, and a supportive community where actors receive guidance, feedback, and ongoing tools for their craft. Whether someone is just starting out or deep into their career, this space is designed to help them peel back the layers, find their truth, and bring more authenticity to every role they play.
Ultimately, my brand is about transformation. If you’re ready to grow not just as an actor, but as a human, you’ll feel right at home here.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me in a few ways. The best place to start is by signing up for my Acting Beyond The Surface classes directly on my website, where I offer private coaching and enrollment for my six-week intensive. You can also follow along and connect with me on Instagram, where I share updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and announcements for upcoming classes and opportunities to collaborate.
