Hidden Gems: Meet Ray Abram of The Well Connected Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ray Abram.

Hi Ray, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I lived much of my life feeling disconnected. Like most introverts, I had trouble making the types of connections that would help me in my life and career. I tried my hand at several different careers, but never found the type of success I thought I deserved. During one particular inflection point, I sat down to try to figure out what was holding me back. After some thought, I realized my biggest problem was my inability to form good relationships with people who could help me.

I started reading everything I could about networking, body language and psychology. Soon I had built up the courage to try some of the new techniques out in public. I was blown away when I discovered it worked. Even though at my core I was still a card-carrying introvert, I now had a toolkit I could use to form good relationships with almost anyone quickly.

I started getting invited to exclusive events and offered jobs and opportunities that I couldn’t have dreamed of a few years before. After a while I realized that I couldn’t keep this new skill set all to myself, so I started coaching and training others on how to become better at networking and building good business relationships.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to where I am has not been smooth. Like any improvement you make there is some discomfort. I still struggle to find the motivation to attend events and walk up to strangers and start conversations.

Also, many of the people that I am trying to help don’t believe they can be helped at first.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Well Connected Company?
I help real estate agents get more clients and referrals by becoming better at networking.

I walk clients through a step-by-step process that builds confidence and shows them the way to network for results.

Many agents attend networking events regularly without much (if any) success. my process shows them how to work a room, follow up and get multiple referrals in just a few weeks.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is that you don’t have to accept second-hand results.

I used to believe “I was just born shy” and that there was nothing I could do about it. Now, I’ve realized that you can improve everything, even your personality and the skill of building relationships.
