Hi Rhonda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up, I knew I wanted to be a nurse and a business owner. I had no idea my business would involve anything related to beauty. I graduated from Nursing school in 2011. I enjoyed my time traveling as a Director of Nursing as well as traveling as a beside nurse however, it was time to have my own. My business partner, Carlos White, and I wanted to provide to the community something that wasn’t being offered. People travel from near and far to explore what Atlanta has to offer. It is such a beautiful city that many want to experience in one way or another. Crown Royal Brazilian Wax is an upscale beauty salon where we desire for women and men to feel like royalty. The name Crown Royal actually isn’t related to the popular drink. It is an inside nickname for my business partner and I. He wears the Crown, as Kings do, and I am Royal as we all are. It’s important to feel good and look good. We want our clients to travel to our beautiful city to experience an upscale beauty experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road? Hmmmm, definitely not. We have faced difficulties but that’s life. Nothing comes easy. With prayer, partnership, and a plan everything is within reach. I would list all the difficulties but that could be long however, If I can offer any advice to someone, I would say to do the work and become an expertise in the area of interest because knowledge truly is power.

Crown Royal Brazilian Wax is an upscale beauty salon. We offer hair removal services by wax, lash extensions, facials, hair braiding, skin tightening, laser hair removal, and many other beauty services. What sets us apart is the experience we offer. Upon entering into our place of business most clients say it’s beautiful and it’s a great feel. The presentation is inviting and introduces the clients to warmth. What we offer is more than services we offer an experience. An experience that demonstrates there is an effort to give an exceptional service.
We will be opening new locations throughout the Atlanta area.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
COVID-19 has taught me to be more humble, patient, loving and safe as it relates to business and life in general. It’s important to be safe. As a Registered Nurse and have worked in such conditions such as long-term care facilities with residents experiencing end of life and health difficulties due to COVID, it was a huge eye-opener. Wash your hands, wear your mask, and follow the CDC guidelines are really important. Don’t get complacent with doing the right things.
