Hi Rocky, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m known as Rocky Callender licensed cosmetologist from N.Y……. Callender Girls Wigs (Callender) being my last name/family name.
I’m currently marketing my Organic Hair Care line to different beauty supply stores and retailers. With success in 4 so far and still perusing.
I’m also selling my products to salon owners by the gallon. In doing this, stylists and salon owners are able to upsell services to their clients using organic products on their client’s hair.
My wigs are named after the months of the year being that we are named Callender Girls Wigs.
Photoshoots held will be with 12 girls representing the 12 months on a Calendar mimicking the old stay Calendar pin up girls.
My line of organic hair care are free of all sulfates, chemical and are vegan-friendly shampoos, conditioners…….

We have to be more conscious of the chemicals we put on our scalp which too aid in hair loss.
My organic hair products is a representation of my fight for hair loss in women or men across the country.
I essentially want to start up a hair restoration clinic /wellness spa and wig boutique all in 1.
Woman can come to my business with hair loss issues.
This business will have a wig boutique with various styles, colors and length wigs on display in the front with stations to provide full hair services and rooms in the back for the hair restoration consultations and services & also suites for stylists to rent out and a classroom to teach classes.
This business will be an experience not just a salon.
Helping woman look and feel beautiful inside out has always been my main objective and I do plan to execute this plan in Honor of my mom Dawn Callender who passed away 07/28/2019.
We talked about this idea of mine for so long and now she’s gone I want to make my dream come true and make her proud of me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. With many rejections and many doubts and worst of all people close to you who don’t want to see you succeed or support you, but like Amazon who stared from a desk and chair and a paper sign that said Amazon and Eisenstein who failed 99 times “many of life‘s failures are people who do not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.“
Look at Jay Z who was denied by several major records before starting Roc-A-Fella Records……..My point is no matter how many times I get knocked down every time I get back up, I’ll go even harder then the previous.

Being from NY, Georgia is a completely different ballgame and very cliquish (as I was told several times when I first moved here) but the energy is amazing!! Everyone here has high aspirations and a rich mentality! I love it! I can honestly say the one thing I don’t like that I ran away from being that I have two boys is the crime, Atlanta has not been purged of crime which is a little disturbing.
