Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosibel Gonzalez.
Hi Rosibel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Rosibel. I arrived in this country six years ago, leaving behind my parents, siblings, and my beloved profession (doctor). With the vision of giving my son, who was in my belly at only three months of pregnancy a better future, my husband and I made the decision to emigrate and start from zero in a foreign country that has embraced us since day one.
In my home country, I graduated as a doctor with a specialization in aesthetic medicine, and when I arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, I never stopped searching for ways to continue in my passion, self-care and empowering women to feel good about themselves and discover the best version of who they are.
That’s when my journey began, balancing motherhood and the fight to keep my dreams alive.
I started working in clinics as a medical and physician assistant while studying to obtain my aesthetician license. I worked during the day and studied at night. However, it’s no secret that motherhood in a foreign country without the support of your family is hard, and I put my aesthetics project aside to dedicate myself completely to my son after he was diagnosed with autism.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with a severe lumbar spine condition that I didn’t know I had and that required surgery with a prosthesis. Filled with fear, I had no choice but to undergo the surgery, which left me temporarily unable to walk properly and unable to return to work. But I chose to see it as an opportunity to finish my studies and obtain my license.
I consider that experience as my awakening, a reminder that “there is no perfect moment to fight for your dreams; the moment is now.” Determined to focus 100% on the world of aesthetics even with my son and his condition, I took the risk of believing in myself and my dream project. Just four months after my surgery that same year, I rented my first own suite and took the leap.
Over the next two and a half years, I began my studies, this time in nursing, with a strong conviction to open my own dreamed med spa. Since arriving in 2020, I had worked very hard: I started offering at-home services for a year while working as a medical and physician assistant to pay for my esthetics studies. My mother’s friend would lend me her spa to attend referred clients.
Finally, this year in February, thanks to God, the support of my husband and my clients, my strong determination and resilience I was able to buy my first dreamed med spa and design it in my own style.
Today, I am certain that luck does not exist. What exists are optimistic, resilient, and passionate people. I have never been someone who settles; I always strive to grow and help those around me grow as well. From that passion was born the initiative to create courses where I train and empower people who, just like me, have a dream within this beautiful industry but don’t feel capable or are simply waiting for the perfect moment to start. The truth is, it doesn’t exist, we will be always wrapped up in child’s responsibilities, health challenges, as in my case, when I thought I might never walk properly again or that I could have died in such a risky surgery….financial responsibilities, and of course FEAR, the very thing that most often stops us from pursuing what we love.
I hope my story inspires many women to step out of their comfort zone and bet on themselves because everything is possible as long as you hold on to it and put God first.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. The road to creating Ross Beauty Center has been full of challenges personal, physical, and emotional.
Starting in a new country, carrying my first baby with a bag filled with dreams and expectations is a big challenge but I never had doubts about my capabilities.
I was working as an assistant full time, studying at night, also dealing at the same time with my lumbar spine condition, and top of that taking care of my child’s condition, all this have been a challenged and one of the most difficult situations I had experienced, without family or support filled with fear I’ve to asume all that. several times I thought to stop, but finally I achieved with god as my allied all can be reach.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Ross Beauty Center Med Spa, located in Duluth, Georgia. Ross Beauty Center is more than a beauty clinic, it’s the physical representation of resilience, purpose, and the power of self-transformation.
At our core, we specialize in medical-grade aesthetic and wellness services designed to help individuals feel confident in their own skin. We offer Botox, dermal fillers, IV therapy, weight loss treatments, skin rejuvenation procedures, laser hair removal, and facials all performed under medical oversight with the highest standards of safety, ethics, and care.
What sets us apart is our deeply personalized approach. Every treatment we offer is tailored to the individual, not just based on appearance goals, but on lifestyle, emotional wellness, and long-term confidence. We don’t just treat faces or skin; we support the full person.
I’m most proud of the brand’s integrity. Everything we do is rooted in medical science, artistry, and human empathy. We never sell quick fixes or illusions. Instead, we educate our clients and walk beside them through their transformation journeys.
Ross Beauty Center was born out of my own story from rebuilding a medical career in a foreign country while raising a child with special needs, to overcoming spinal surgery and still choosing to build something meaningful from the ground up. That energy lives in every service we provide and in every woman or man who walks through our doors hoping to reclaim the best version of themselves.
If there’s one thing I want readers to know about Ross Beauty Center, it’s this: we are a med spa with heart, created by someone who understands the challenges behind every transformation. We serve with science, passion, and purpose because we’ve lived it.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
What surprises most people about me is that Ross Beauty Center didn’t start in a fully equipped med spa with a perfect business plan it started with borrowed space, portable equipment, and a relentless work ethic.
Before opening my current location, I was providing mobile aesthetic services and seeing clients in any safe, professional space available including a friend’s spa after hours. I was working full-time in clinics while studying at night to earn my credentials, building my business one client, one treatment, and one referral at a time.
People often assume that when they walk into a polished brand, it must have started that way. In reality, Ross Beauty Center was built from the ground up with persistence, consistency, and vision. No shortcuts. Just an unshakable commitment to grow ethically, professionally, and with integrity.
That’s what makes the work so meaningful today. Every client that walks through our doors experiences something created through sacrifice, faith, and long-term focus.
