Hidden Gems: Meet Star Michelle of Starmichelle Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Star Michelle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After being fired from my tech job in 2020 for having my children at home during the pandemic, I pivoted towards a thriving career as a productivity strategist and coach.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am a mother of three and know how hard it can be to balance work and family responsibilities. My own experience led me to become passionate about staying on top of my workload and reducing overwhelm and clutter through education to other business owners. I want to empower more moms to achieve the same success. I started by building my own virtual assistant business from scratch. Now, creating a free community of 5,200 women and men to help support them with learning how to become their own business owners from home as virtual assistants the right way.

As you know, we’re big fans of Starmichelle Co. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Star, a South Georgia-based productivity expert and business coach who helps busy mompreneurs balance work and family life through practical and results-driven approaches. After being fired from her tech job in 2020 for having her children at home during the pandemic, Star pivoted towards a thriving career as a productivity strategist and coach. Her company provides support such as workshops, coaching, and done-for-you services to help entrepreneurs grow and sustain their businesses. Additionally, Star co-founded the VA Sorority, which helps women start their own virtual assistant businesses. She has reached over 6,000 people with her coaching and services, empowering others to achieve their dreams and balance their lives.

— My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to teach women and men from all over the world how to build their businesses as successful virtual assistants and now they are thriving with their own clients. Seeing them achieve their own goals and dreams is the most rewarding thing I could ever ask for. I am proud of the impact that this community has had on the lives of so many people.

How do you think about luck?
I believe that every mom should have the opportunity to thrive in business. My own journey has been one of perseverance and determination, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support other women in achieving their goals.
