Hidden Gems: Meet Stephanie Eban of Thrift McLemore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Eban.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I went to law school knowing I wanted to do something helping families.

When my grandfather passed, my family had to jump through a lot of administrative hoops that we could have easily avoided with the right planning. I realized that estate planning would allow me to help families in the way I had always wanted.

I practiced for a few years and eventually came to a crossroads: I could either go off as a solo or partner with someone. I had my eye on Thrift McLemore for years because of the firm’s client reviews.

I joined Thrift McLemore as a partner to head the Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning department. It couldn’t be a better fit.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As a working mom, I often find myself wishing I could clone myself so I can be at home and work at the same time.

One day I was without childcare at the last minute and had a work meeting that I couldn’t miss. Of course, my husband was also out of town. One of the partners said, “bring your daughter with you to the office. We have you covered.”

I’m confident that won’t be the last time something comes up, but I’m so grateful to have incredibly supportive and family-friendly partners.

As you know, we’re big fans of Thrift McLemore. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Thrift McLemore is a real estate, business, and estate planning law firm. I joined the firm as a partner to head the Wills, and Trusts, and Estate Planning department.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
The client experience has always been how I’ve defined success. When I was deciding which firm I wanted to partner with, I knew it would only work with a firm that shared that sentiment.
