My involvement with nonprofits traces back to a young age, ignited by the meaningful work my grandmother was doing to support individuals battling AIDS. Those formative experiences instilled in me a deep sense of compassion and the desire to contribute positively to my community. As the years went by, I found myself extending this dedication by also joining my mother’s nonprofit, which was dedicated to aiding the homeless population.
This early exposure to the transformative impact of nonprofits became an integral part of my identity. It’s safe to say that the ethos of helping others is woven into the very fabric of who I am. As my path unfolded, I naturally gravitated toward a career in support services within the nonprofit sector. Recognizing that long-term sustainability is the cornerstone of success for these organizations, I chose to focus my efforts on fund development and operational strategies.
My journey has been fueled by an unwavering passion for community empowerment. This passion has been the driving force behind my decision to establish Divine Writing & Consulting Solutions. Being a business owner is no walk in the park. It’s filled with ongoing challenges, failures, and obstacles that pop up regularly. But every hurdle is a chance to learn and grow. Staying hopeful and resilient is key.
Honestly, this journey has been far from smooth. One major struggle has been keeping the business profitable and growing steadily. Adapting to changes in the business world is a constant effort. Also, forming a strong team has been a real test. Finding the right people who share the same vision isn’t easy.
Financial ups and downs have added to the mix. Cash flow worries and economic shifts are always around. However, through it all, failures have been my best teachers. They’ve pushed me to rethink strategies and come back stronger.
Optimism and resilience have been my compass. They’ve helped me view setbacks as opportunities and face challenges head-on. Believing that obstacles can be overcome has kept me going.
