Hidden Gems: Meet Tanisha Yorrick-Allen of Your Other Mind

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Yorrick-Allen.

Tanisha Yorrick-Allen

Hi Tanisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Your Other Mind as a result from my journey of healing myself from the symptoms of PTSD. I had a near death/death experience at 16, and was diagnosed with PTSD at 23. I committed to 2 years of clinical therapy before I noticed it wasn’t helping me much. Around that same time, I joined my spiritual tradition and started to notice all these spiritual gifts I had, but hid away, started coming back online. At that time, I decided to quit therapy and see if I could master my energy on my own. I leaned into my Ancestor’s guidance, my gifts, and what I knew of metaphysics/spiritual law. And it worked. But it taught me that all of us have “two minds” or rather two states of consciousness.

If you can take your present level of awareness and switch it to your Divine/Higher Self/Other consciousness. Things will be a lot easier for you in life and having what you want; like it’s supposed to be. I’ve also been in strategic operations for ten years while all of these things were happening. Strategic operations is different from day to day operations. Strategic ops plan growth and scalability through people, products, and processes; it’s where we align the company’s outputs to the mission and values to improve efficiency all around and increase profitability. I merged my personal spiritual experience with my expertise and found the same thing. If you can teach leaders to shift their awareness, align their energy with their preferred consciousness (the “Other” mind), and implement a sound strategy, they will grow exponentially faster than if they chose one over the other.

I’ve gotten clients 167% revenue growth in profitability where there should have only been 15% statistically. And I did it in less time. I’ve created cost savings of upwards of $300,000 for one client by improving their processes. I’ve reduced touches (steps to completion) by 33%, which ultimately increased their profitability in the long term. Now, I have my own coaching and consultancy firm where I guide my leaders on their own expansion paths. Helping them create their highest level of life and success, whether through a business or their current careers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been challenging, but not in the way that most people would prefer to say. To me, it’s been challenging in how much I have had to release: expired narratives, identities, and plans. The most challenging thing about growing and scaling a company like this is releasing and adapting your identity. You have to be brave enough to let yourself become more you. By more you, I mean more of the real you. Being okay with letting go of your acceptable performance and corporate identities and trusting that all the nonsense you learned about why it’s not okay to be you was a lie. It also takes a level of commitment to show up regularly when your bank account, launch, or sales pipeline doesn’t match your hopes, dreams, and ideas. I’ve had to double down on what I teach by practicing it myself. I love a person who is into spiritual maximism and committed to maximizing their spiritual care as a strategic move. I’ve had to double down on my own spiritual strategy, which is all the steps and things I need to be my most activated self. I’ve had to create plans and trust myself more than any other voice. It’s been an experience to be savored.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Your Other Mind is a coaching firm and business consultancy. We specialize in elevating historically marginalized groups—including Black communities, people of color, women, womxn, LGBTQ+, and the differently-abled—by streamlining their path to success, amplifying their influence, magnifying their impact, and optimizing their efforts through holistic spiritual and strategic guidance.

We support Visionary Leaders (Coaches, Consultants, Creators, and Execs) who struggle with creating their highest level of life and career and want to elevate their lives and impact by learning how to master their energy strategically and spiritually so they can release their fear and welcome more success into their lives.

We are different because we focus on the Spirit of the Leader. We guide people through the understanding that their Spirit Energetics is their best strategy to any level of success. If people can master their awareness, spirit, and energy, they will achieve everything that is meant for them.

We teach people to Activate their Spirit, Design their Experience, and Expand their results to every area of life.

We have a signature program: Elevation Experience: Life and Success Expansion Program, where we invite new clients into a 12-month container to learn how to grow their wealth, increase their impact, and align their careers. Elevation Experience meets four times monthly online and four times annually in person, with a members-only WhatsApp group and annual celebration retreat.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
As a Brooklyn native, Atlanta is like a cool and chill version of New York. I love how distinct each neighborhood is and how you can get lost in the city’s identities. Atlanta is wildly historic, and I love learning more about their history.

What I like least: the traffic. The traffic is off-putting and exhausting. People get into accidents a lot here simply because traffic is hella unpredictable.
