Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Fuller.
Hi Tanya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After going through a really bad divorce and having to raise five children on my own, I went to work for corporate America. Working more than eighty hours a week and struggling to put my two oldest through college and I began thinking I needed to find supplemental income but before I could corporate America broke up with me. That breakup made my grind much harder to take care of my family, I never wanted to be in a position where someone could determine how much I made or how I fed my family. For years I had a few close friends tell me that I should really get into real estate, but I thought I did not have time to try to sell houses or the ability to do so, During Covid-19 while being restricted to staying at home and many conversations I made the leap and took the course and my get my real estate license.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has absolutely not been an easy road. I like many people got into this business thinking I will have a business right away and I will make a ton of money within my first 60 days. I thought that everyone who contacted me was going to be ready to buy a home or sell. But that was far from the truth. There were days that I wanted to throw my license across the room and walk away from this field all together. From deals falling apart to clients changing their minds at the closing table real estate is not for the weak at heart,
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a realtor who specializes in assisting buyers, sellers and investors with all of their real estate needs. My motto is I design exclusive experiences to satisfy all of your real estate needs! What I am most proud brand-wise of is that I let my clients know that if I cannot find out, I will help build it brick by brick. What I would most of your readers to know is that while there are many qualified realtors out there, there is only on Tanya Fuller. I work tirelessly to ensure that I find you exactly what you are looking for and like my motto if we cannot find it, we will build it brick by brick. I not only intentionally listen to you say I also pay close to what my clients do not say. While I will not stop until my client’s dreams and wishes come true
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Coming from a strong West Indian (my mother is from Jamaica and my father from Trinidad & Tobago) we would take family vacations to Jamaica. But my most memorable one was when my mother and I went to Jamaica and we were sitting on my grandmother’s veranda (porch) and my cousin James came by the house and peeled my sugar cane for hours and after he was done we went to Dunn’s River falls to swim in the Ocean. While some would say how is that memorable, for me family has and will be important. So I believe all of my childhood memories are my favorite.
