Hi Teneica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my career as a secretary with Knowles Enterprises tax company at the age of 18, primarily running errands. At the time, my first son was two years old, and I was pregnant with my second son. I knew then that I needed to create a way to maximize my income and build a better future for my family.
One day, I reached out to an associate who was preparing taxes at the time and asked for guidance on how to prepare them myself. I did not receive as much information as I expected. Instead of being discouraged, I chose to teach myself.
My self-education consisted of observing others, conducting extensive research online, reading books on tax laws, and learning how percentages and calculations worked. Over time, my knowledge grew, and I fully immersed myself in the tax industry.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggle has been real! As they say. From losing friends, money, plenty of selfless sacrifices, and sometimes hope— I can say I’m not at the top, but I now have skin tough enough to get there.

I am most proud that I never tried to fit in with the “in-crowd.” I didn’t purchase luxury vehicles or engage in unethical practices to create the appearance of success. Instead, I chose to live within my means and build a business rooted in integrity. Our success speaks for itself through the quality of our work and the trust of our clients.
I am truly grateful and blessed to continue thriving in such a competitive industry.

What are your plans for the future?
“In the future, I plan to expand my company nationwide, alongside industry leaders such as H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt. However, my mission goes far beyond growth. I am committed to teaching individuals—especially within minority communities—the true meaning and impact of the taxation system.
My purpose is to leave this earth having made a meaningful difference, grounded in integrity, education, and service to our communities. Through financial education and empowerment, my goal is to touch countless families and help them build lasting financial abundance for generations to come.”
