Hidden Gems: Meet Tori L. Edwards of WITH MOTHA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tori L. Edwards.

Hi Tori, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The journey I’m on now began with a deep desire to restore what was broken, first inside of me, then in the relationships around me. In 2020, I self-published a poetic autobiography as a form of personal healing. That writing process was raw, revealing, and transformational. It helped me realize how much generational pain goes unnamed, especially between mothers and daughters.

I’ve always been drawn to helping women feel seen and understood. Over time, I began to have conversations with women about their family dynamics. A common area of disconnection was that between the mother and daughter. That’s when WITH MOTHA was born. A platform for mothers and daughters rooted in emotional growth and faith-based transformation. What started as a passion evolved into a calling.

Today, I’m the founder and project manager of WITH MOTHA, a healing platform offering workshops, coaching, and conversation spaces for women. This year, I’m launching webinars, a 3-part in-person workshop series, and laying the foundation for retreats and conferences. All of these programs and events are designed to break generational cycles and rebuild emotionally safe relationships.

My journey hasn’t been perfect, but every step has been purposeful. I believe if we want to see the best version of women, it starts with daughters having healed mothers. Restoration is possible when we do the work together.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Pressure is a privilege. If you’re traveling on a path that’s smooth sailing, it’s probably not your true calling. A lot of what I teach and create came out of the struggles I had to confront personally. So no, it has not been a smooth road. However, it’s been sacred.

One of the hardest parts was navigating my own healing process while trying to show up for others. I had to face deep-rooted emotional wounds, especially in my relationship with my own mother and in how I viewed myself as a woman. There were times I felt overwhelmed and unsure if I was qualified to lead others through something I was still learning how to walk through.

Another struggle was building WITH MOTHA from scratch. I had no blueprint, no funding, and no clarity when I felt I needed it the most. I had to trust God deeply in seasons where I didn’t have external validation or support, and still show up with consistency and faith.

Those struggles became my refining ground. They pushed me to surrender, to evolve, and to keep my heart open. Now, everything I offer through WITH MOTHA is rooted in lived experience. I’m not speaking from theory, I’m speaking from truth.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
WITH MOTHA is more than a brand, it’s a healing movement.

It was created to support mothers and daughters in rebuilding emotionally safe relationships. We focus on helping women break generational cycles, reconnect to themselves, and communicate with compassion and emotional maturity.

What we offer is heart work. I specialize in creating a safe space where women can be honest, grieve, heal, and grow together. Through private coaching, in-person workshops, digital content, and intentional conversations, WITH MOTHA invites women to do the work of healing their inner world so their relationships can reflect wholeness.

What sets WITH MOTHA apart is the intentional mix of faith, emotional healing, and generational restoration. We don’t just talk about the surface, we get to the root. And we do it with love and grace.

Right now I offer:

– Coaching

– Workshops and Webinars

– A YouTube series and Instagram LIVE Interviews

What I’m most proud of is that every offering is lived, prayed over, and deeply rooted in purpose. I want readers to know: WITH MOTHA is a place for healing, reconnection, and becoming whole again. It’s for any woman who’s ever thought, “There has to be more than this.”

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe the healing and personal development industry is entering a new era. The era we’re stepping into will view emotional intelligence, generational restoration, and spiritual wellness as essential, not extras.

Over the next 5-10 years, I see more people seeking healing beyond the surface. Therapy, coaching, and emotional wellness will continue to grow, but people won’t just want tools, they’ll want truth, safety, and soul-level transformation. More women will want to understand how their past affects their present, and how their relationships, especially with their mothers or daughters, have shaped their identity.

I also see a shift toward community-based healing. People are tired of doing the work alone. Platforms like WITH MOTHA will thrive because we’re creating spaces where women can grow with one another, not just beside each other.

There’s also a growing hunger for faith-integrated healing, where God is not excluded from the emotional process, but central to it. I believe people are ready for heart work that isn’t just clinical or trendy, but deeply anchored in wisdom.

WITH MOTHA is positioned right in that gap. We offer real, relational healing rooted in emotional maturity, faith, and generational change.
