Hidden Gems: Meet Tynesha Williams of Dynamic Cheer Elite

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tynesha Williams.

Tynesha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Tynesha Williams, and I am 29 years old. I’m a proud and loving mother to my 4-year-old son, Malachi Nasir Surrett. I graduated from Clayton State University with a Master’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

In 2015, I went through one of the most challenging times in my life. I began experiencing severe anxiety, something I had never faced before and didn’t fully understand. During that same period, I lost one of my closest all-star cheer friends, Lauren Jones. Her passing deeply affected me—I lost my passion for everything and struggled to find purpose. I thought about her every day and eventually realized that I had to keep going, not just for myself, but for her memory. It took time, healing, and self-reflection, but I was able to rediscover who I was and rebuild my confidence. That experience changed me and gave me a deeper understanding of resilience, purpose, and the power of believing in yourself.

My coaching journey officially began that same year, in 2015, when I was 19 years old. I’ve been involved in cheerleading for over 20 years, participating in park and recreation, school cheer, and all-star cheerleading. From a young age, I knew I wanted to own my own cheerleading gym and create a space to inspire and empower young girls.

Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence despite being recognized as a talented cheerleader by others. Over time, I learned to believe in myself and embrace who I am. That personal journey motivated me to become a foundation of support for young girls who may face similar challenges. Through my coaching, I focus on building confidence—not only on the mat but in life as well.

This mission led me to create Dynamic Cheer Elite, an All-Star cheer program centered around empowerment and self-belief. Our motto is “We Build Confidence.” Our team colors are black and silver, with red as an accent color representing boldness, courage, and confidence. Dynamic Cheer Elite isn’t just about cheerleading—it’s a safe and supportive space where young girls can grow, express themselves, and feel free to be who they are.

Founded in 2019, we moved into our first facility in 2021, and by 2024, we proudly expanded into a larger location on Lester Road. As our community continues to grow, so does our commitment to empowering and uplifting every young athlete who joins our Dynamic family.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning a business has never been an easy road. I didn’t have much guidance in the beginning, but the support I’ve received along the way has been my motivation to keep going. When I first started, I didn’t know all the steps it took to build and run a successful business—I learned through experience, trial, and error. The process of understanding the ins and outs of entrepreneurship has taught me patience, resilience, and growth. I’m not perfect, and I embrace my flaws, but I remind myself every day that I’m learning, improving, and becoming better with each step forward.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Dynamic Cheer Elite?
Dynamic Cheer Elite is an All-Star cheerleading gym located in Conyers, Georgia, dedicated to building confidence and empowering young athletes. We welcome cheerleaders ages 3 to 18, and no prior experience is required—every athlete starts from where they are and grows with us.

At Dynamic Cheer Elite, we focus on developing essential cheer skills, including motions, jumps, and tumbling, while also fostering teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. We offer private lessons, group classes, and both full-year and half-year competitive teams. Every athlete is placed on a team that matches their current skill level, ensuring they are both challenged and supported as they grow.

We proudly compete in local and national competitions and are four-year veterans in the All-Star cheer community. What truly sets us apart is our focus on confidence-building—both on and off the mat. Our program goes beyond cheerleading; we provide a safe, supportive space where young girls can find their voice, believe in themselves, and shine.

Brand-wise, we are most proud of the impact we have on our athletes’ self-esteem and growth. Our motto, “We Build Confidence,” is more than just words—it’s the foundation of everything we do. At Dynamic Cheer Elite, we’re not just creating strong athletes; we’re shaping strong, confident young women ready to take on the world.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
It’s always meaningful to have someone outside your immediate circle who listens and gives you a voice. Everyone journey is different to get to where you want to be, so networking in your same field is strongly advice because you never know who can help you along the way. Support truly goes a long way—navigating challenges alone is never easy. Having a safe space or even just one person you can turn to for guidance, advice, or encouragement can make all the difference when you’re facing difficult moments.
