Today we’d like to introduce you to Washington Calvache and Maria Alejandra Blanco. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Maria has been a civil engineer since 2010 and Washington has been a specialist in marketing and finance since 2008. We come from Venezuela and we have been married for 11 years. We both have the conviction that success is built with a lot of preparation, dedication, and perseverance.
Maria Alejandra is an ambitious civil engineer with a passion for her career, from Venezuela she led large-scale projects in the commercial and residential areas, from building construction to hydrocarbon plants. Washington is a Marketing and Finance specialist with more than 16 years of experience leading sales teams, also with an extensive career in the marketing area.
Since we moved to the United States we knew that we had to reinvent ourselves and find a balance between our knowledge and work experience. It was with that premise that Loyal Construction came to life, with the clear goal of making a difference in the remodeling and construction industry.
It has been a difficult path, with many setbacks and many battles but with the satisfaction of having overcome all the challenges. Throughout these five years, Loyal Construction has positioned itself as a reliable contractor and we have demonstrated to all our clients that we are responsible and honest professionals who leave traces in each of our creations. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy road, as an immigrant many times the process is more complicated and even longer. Adapt to a country with a different culture, and learn a new language, but the most difficult thing is to have the desire to start a business and not know how to start.
We overcome our fears and decide to work non-stop until we meet our goals. We studied English and obtained our certificate of English as a second language. We adapted to a new culture, new city, and new weather, and we even understood how the construction industry works. We analyze each of the ways to develop a business in the United States and we advise ourselves with specialists until we achieve it.
During these five years, we have had many people who have taught us, others who have helped us, and others who with very bad intentions have hurt us, but we are clear about one thing, when you do what you love with honesty and have God on your side You will always succeed.
