Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Thomason.
Hi Adam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, post the riots that separated the city, I lived below 8 mile with the majority of blacks. I got connected with a teacher in high school who noticed my skill for art and storytelling, she connected me with SCAD, which allowed me to get a full-ride scholarship and eventually travel the world telling stories that matter.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. My dad left the home when I was 12 and my mother was shot 5 five times six months later.
