Today we’d like to introduce you to Alana Bracey.
Hi Alana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always had a passion for all things beautiful since a toddler! My passion for interior décor and beautiful parties was passed down from my mother and grandmother. I watched as they both gracefully planned and executed events with ease. Weddings were always my favorite events to attend since I was “Thee Official Flower Girl” of the 90s! As the smallest member of each wedding party, I was able to sit in on the many ideas and execution of the big day! This was right down my alley! I knew I would have to one day be a part of this beautiful process!
I knew my eye for beauty would be impactful in providing beautiful conversation pieces that mirrored and represented sophisticated yet bold clients. My background in TV production gave me such a great foundation in thinking on my feet, meeting impossible goals, and moreover transforming visions into reality. This fast-paced lifestyle was all about “Making Magic Happen”! I love being a part of the process of transformation through delivering the perfect items to complete a story.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being drawn to the attention to detail, each process while starting this company was done with ease. I planned every step carefully because proper planning prevents poor quality. That is not to say everything was perfect, but I had a backup plan for every step in building my brand because let’s be honest….things happen. My brand was built on expectancy, faith, and lots of prayer! Has it been a smooth road? I have literally been planning and strategizing for a business since 2016. For years, I carried around a pink notebook filling it with business do’s and don’ts. I was so passionate! I made sure to organize my thoughts so I could “hit the ground running” when it was time to unveil my new venture. There was only one major issue. I HAD NO BUSINESS! I had all the strategies books suggested. I was a proud researcher and philosopher of Youtube University, yet I had no idea what type of business to start. I prayed for years!
One night while visiting my cousin, she called me into her garage and asked if I wanted a few things from her old event design business. She told me I could make more use of the items as I always knew people who were having parties. IT CLICKED! IT LITERALLY CLICKED! I worked tirelessly for three months during the beginning of 2021 to start piecing together my business with the strategies and resources I previously researched. I slept very little from March when I got the aha moment until June 6th, when I launched! I was running on adrenaline and so excited to use my gift of beauty and detail to serve my city! Anyone that knows me knows that I love interior design and all things that make a beautiful home. I didn’t want to decorate per se, but I absolutely love elegant modern yet classic furniture. I could offer event rental items that would elevate events and help bring together well throughout visions.

I am proud we have remained true to the essence of femininity and elegance with carefully thought-out content and items that reflect the type of clients we aimed to target from the beginning. What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was watching my mother and paternal grandmother decorate! I tailed along, most times out of the way ready to lend a hand or excitedly await the BIG QUESTION….What do you think, Alana? It was always perfection. From drapes to tablescapes, I was all eyes and awaited the day that I would be able to decorate and design my very own home….which by the way, is reminiscent of a cozy luxury hotel. The women in my life truly shaped me for the life that never feels like work to me!
