I didn’t wake up one day and decide to build a company — I became the company. I’m Alexis, better known as MsMakeItHappenLex, and I’m the Co-CEO of Limelight Management. My journey didn’t begin with money or connections — it began with pure passion, faith, and a heart to help others shine in their purpose.

Before Limelight was even an idea, I was already behind the scenes — scouting talent, coordinating shows, assisting with film projects, helping artists with branding, and connecting people to opportunities they didn’t even know existed. I’ve always been that person who sees potential in others before they see it in themselves. The entertainment industry can be cold and cutthroat, but instead of becoming bitter, I chose to become better — to create a lane where authenticity and opportunity could exist together.

That’s how Limelight Management was born — out of a purpose to help creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs find their voice, build their brand, and own their moment. It started with me, a laptop, and a whole lot of determination. I wore every hat — PR, marketing, management, casting, and production — doing whatever it took to help others level up. My consistency, drive, and results earned me the name MsMakeItHappenLex, because if I said I was going to do it, I made it happen.

As Limelight began to grow, I knew this vision was bigger than one person. So, I partnered up with three other strong, like-minded women who shared the same hunger, integrity, and drive to build something powerful. Together, we created more than just a management company — we built a movement grounded in loyalty, purpose, and elevation.

Today, as Co-CEO of Limelight Management, I take pride in what we stand for — empowering people to walk in their light, stay true to their craft, and never lose themselves in the process. Limelight isn’t just about management; it’s about mentorship, mindset, and movement.

I’ve learned that real success isn’t about chasing the spotlight — it’s about becoming it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Being a female in this industry is not always easy — you have to work twice as hard to be taken seriously and stand your ground in spaces that weren’t always built for you. There are ups and downs, good days and tough ones, and a lot of moments that test your faith and patience.

I’ve had to learn how to balance the constant day-to-day stressors — managing clients, planning events, keeping up with the ever-changing entertainment world — all while still showing up for my family and myself. There were times I’ve felt overlooked or underestimated, but instead of letting that discourage me, it fueled me. Every challenge became motivation to push harder and prove that I belong here just as much as anyone else.

Being a woman in this business means learning how to lead with strength and grace at the same time. You have to have thick skin but still keep a soft heart — and that’s not easy. But those challenges built me. They taught me how to move with strategy, stay grounded in purpose, and never forget why I started.

At the end of the day, the struggle made me stronger. Every obstacle shaped the woman I’ve become — MsMakeItHappenLex, the one who doesn’t fold under pressure, the one who turns every “no” into a new opportunity.

Limelight specializes in artist management, branding, image development, event coordination, PR, and casting connections, but what truly sets us apart is the personal dedication and real-time hustle that I put into everything I do.

I don’t just manage talent — I build people. I get to know their vision, their goals, and their story, then create a roadmap that helps them shine on every level. I’m hands-on in every aspect — from strategizing their brand, to pushing opportunities that others might not see, to mentoring them through the ups and downs of this industry. What makes Limelight different is that I’m not just their manager — I’m their partner, their strategist, and their biggest advocate.

What I’m most proud of is that Limelight Management reflects my philosophy: authenticity, loyalty, and empowerment. I partnered with three other powerful, like-minded women who share my mission, and together we’ve built a team that uplifts, strategizes, and executes at the highest level. Our brand isn’t just about business — it’s about creating legacy, guiding talent, and helping creatives step fully into their light.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing people step into their purpose and succeed. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching an artist, a client, or someone I’ve mentored take their vision and turn it into reality. I love being the person who helps open doors, guide them through challenges, and remind them of their worth when they start to doubt themselves.

I also find happiness in creating and building things that last — whether it’s growing Limelight Management, strategizing a career, or collaborating with my team of powerful, like-minded women. Knowing that my work doesn’t just impact me, but uplifts others, brings me joy that money or recognition could never match.

At the core, what truly makes me happy is purpose in action. When I’m helping others win while staying true to my own vision, that’s when I feel the most fulfilled. Happiness for me isn’t just a feeling — it’s a reflection of impact, growth, and legacy.
