Meet Kyle and Allie Fugatt, the dynamic duo behind Cherokee Rose Homes and The Mallard Hotel, nestled in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. This power couple’s love story began in middle school when they first met at the age of 13, becoming inseparable ever since. Now, with two children, Rileigh and Brayden, they have built a life filled with financial and time freedom through the lucrative world of short-term rentals. Starting their real estate journey in 2019 with home renovations and long-term rentals, Kyle and Allie quickly discovered their passion for flipping properties. Their first project, a live-in flip, proved to be a success when they sold it for double its original value. This only fueled their drive to continue flipping homes during the pandemic, renovating and selling close to ten properties.
But it wasn’t until Allie stumbled upon the STR Secrets podcast in 2021 that everything changed for this dynamic duo. With the valuable insights and strategies shared on this platform, Kyle and Allie transitioned from traditional real estate investing to short-term rental investing. And with their first property launched in August 2021 after joining the STR Secrets program, their success was unstoppable.
With eighteen months in the program under their belts, Kyle (a former electrical engineer) and Allie (a former high school teacher) both retired from their previous careers to pursue full-time entrepreneurship as real estate investors. Today, they are proud owners of Cherokee Rose Homes – a boutique short-term rental management company – as well as The Mallard Hotel – a charming boutique hotel offering guests an unforgettable experience in the heart of nature.
And that’s not all! They also have a passion for giving back to others. Kyle and Allie are also co-owners of The STRategic Investors franchise, dedicated to helping fellow short-term rental operators start local meetups for networking and learning opportunities. Additionally, they both coach and support within the STR Secrets community, they empower individuals to grow, scale and automate their businesses, take control of their own properties, and maximize their profits. From strategizing to problem-solving, Kyle and Allie are your go-to experts for all things short-term rentals.
When they aren’t busy running their successful companies, you can find them on the field, coaching and cheering on their daughter’s softball team and son’s T-Ball team with unmatched enthusiasm. As a married couple running a business together, they have not only had to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship but also constantly work on their communication and relationship as they learn to love the growth within themselves and as a couple. Together, they have faced changing market values, increasing interest rates, and shifts in the housing market. But instead of letting these setbacks defeat them, Kyle and Allie have used them as learning opportunities to expand their knowledge in various exit strategies and other investment ventures such as commercial assets. Their resilience and determination led them to invest in a hotel, a decision that has not only protected their investments but also propelled them towards creating true generational wealth for their family.

From late nights spent working to early mornings fueled by ambition, Kyle and Allie have never wavered in their dedication to staying on track towards achieving their goals. How do they do it?
