Hi Allie , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with a deep sense of disconnection. I became an alcoholic at 20 years old, barely ate, I was overworked & trapped in an abusive marriage which lead to my near death experience in 2014. After 2 years of being bedridden & struggling with complications from medical malpractice, that’s when I decided my life needed to change drastically. I was exhausted of feeling overwhelmed & out of sync with myself. Traditional medical methods offered little solice, prompting me to explore alternative paths. This exploration led me to breathwork- a practice that, unbeknownst to me at the time, would be the cornerstone of my transformation.
After I left my marriage, I did breathwork everyday for 30 days. Breathwork introduced to me this profound connection between the breath & the emotional body. I still remember my first breathwork session like it was yesterday. Breathwork unearthed years of suppressed emotions without me reliving painful experiences. I felt muscle tension melt away & was filled with a sense of profound clarity I haven’t experienced before. This practice became a daily ritual, grounding me & fostering a newfound sense of inner peace.
Recognizing the transformative power of breathwork, I felt compelled to share it with others. I pursued formal training & held over 1,500 classes online classes in 1 year. This certification empowered me to guide others safely on their healing journeys, offering tools to navigate stress, anxiety & emotional blockages.
With a desire to reach a broader audience, I established an online presence at the same time. My TikTok, @lovegood_allie, became a platform to share insights, techniques, personal experiences & host free sessions for anyone who wanted to join. The response was overhwelming at first. Individiuals with influence resonated with my content, seeking guidance & connection. To provide structured support, I launched my website https://breathewithallie.podia.com/the-breathwork-forum, offering courses, workshops & resources. The Breathwork Forum serves as a sanctuary for those seeking self discovery, emotional release & spiritual growth for just $13.99 a month.
Parallel to my breathwork journey, I’ve had an affinity for crystals. Their beauty & how the Earth created them is mesmerizing. This passion culminated in the creation of Maes Mystics. Voted Best of Georgia in 2024, Maes Mystics is dedicated to ethically sourced, high quality minerals. Each piece is selected with intention, aiming to support individuals on their spiritual paths.
Maes Mystics Crystal Shop is more than just a shop, it’s a movement towards conscious consumerism. A portion of proceeds supports charitable causes & clients receive resources to promote environmental sustainability, such as milkweed seed packets to aid in Monarch Butterfly Populations.
My mission extends beyond individual healing. Through comprehensive training programs, I equip others with the skills to become breathwork facilitators. This program blends ancient practices with modern techniques, fostering a new generation of healers committed to holistic wellness.
Looking back through all of the hard decisions & heartache, the path isnt linear. It was filled with self doubt & moments of uncertainty. However, each obstacle reinforced the importance of inner work & the transformative power of breath. Today, i stand not only as a testament to personal growth but as a beacon for others to seek change.
This journey is ongoing, As i continue to evolve, my commitment remains steadfast: to provide tools, resources & support for those on their healing paths. Whether through a breathwork session, crystal offerings or educational content, the goal is to foster a community rooted in compassion & growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Physically:This life has been everything but a smooth road. After coming back into my body, I was bedridden for 2 years. I had to learn to walk, talk & complete daily tasks all over again. I still struggle with simple things but have adapted along the way. I’ll have life long complications that not only will I be financially responsible for, but emotionally & physically responsible for from the medical neglect I received. Just by looking at me, you would never be able to tell what I’ve been through.
Emotionally: Another obstacle that I didn’t see at the time was forgiving myself for going through Hell in the first place when it comes to relationships. That’s a completely different level of healing I didn’t know I needed. Forgiving myself for what I didn’t know, for the love given that wasn’t returned, for the times I stayed in abusive relationships when my soul begged me to leave. Self forgiveness is where a persons power begins to return. I wasn’t weak, I was just surviving.
Business: It breaks my heart to be in an industry that’s meant to promote healing, while knowing that behind low cost crystals, lies the reality of child slave labor & human trafficking. No crystal is worth the pain of another soul. This is why ethically sourcing matters. We as consumers, must demand better, choose better & honor the true energy of these Earths treasures with integrity & compassion. I can immediately walk into a store & tell you if a crystal is tied to suffering. It blows my mind that more people don’t notice this & 2nd, why don’t they care.
